For any non-tech savvy people;- Your phone needs to be compatible with fast charging, and to that end compatible with 160W charging, you won't get 160W 0-50% in 6 mins if your phone only charges at 22W fast charge, as an example.

For example;- Google Pixel 8 wired charge max is 27W. You can search for your own phone at m.gsmarena.com/goo…php then scroll down to the battery section;-

Equally, alot of fast charging are proprietary protocols so your iPhone/Google/Samsung may not be compatible with OnePlus/RealMe/Oppo etc. Worse case scenario you buy this and you get 2.4A at 5V (standard USB charging max 12W). Which is not worth it.

A common fast charge protocol is Quick Charge 3.0 if your phone has that you are looking at is 3.2V to 12V which offers 18W to 36W.

TL;DR: Your phone will only take as much power as it can from the charger, if not compatible it will not consume 160W and therefore you will not get 0-50% in 6 mins.

So will it charge my xiamo 13pro at 120w? Thanks

160w should keep you going, if your phone supports this type of usb c that is! Speaking of which, what type is it and will it support Samsung phones etc?

It'll work but will default to a standard PD (Power Delivery) profile.

    PDO 5V 3A / 9V 3A/ 12V 3A/ 15V 3A/ 20V 2.25A

    So 15W, 15W, 36W, 45W, 45W. So 45W max on other devices.

Would this work with Google pixel 6 pro
    dkj255's avatar
Work, yes. Improve speeds? Probably not. The Pixel 6/7 range are notoriously slow to charge as I think they're capped between 18-23W depending on specific model. Even the Pixel 8 Pro just launched can only manage 30W charging - most brands were offering that 2-3yrs ago and now offer much faster charging tech.

Nice just bought a cheap Ace Pro from China so this is good timing.

Daaamn! 0-100% in 19 mins. I miss my OnePlus...

I may just be being dumb, but why is this only compatible with certain OnePlus phones when it's just a standard USB-C to USB-C power adapter? Surely this could power a Macbook Pro for example? Or do they just mean the "SUPERVOOC" technology?
    Shawn_Page's avatar
It's the Super VooC protocol. It'll just revert to a low wattage with anything else. 35W if I remember correctly (edited)

    Does this fast charge?

    Honor Pad X9
    Macbook Pro
    USB-C Charging Dell laptops

    No

    Need that dual port charger.

Will this charge the oppo n2 flip at 160W, the 80W does, but can't find it this phone supports 160W (edited)
    Shawn_Page's avatar
It'll charge at the rate of the charger it came with. My old Oppo find X5 charges at 80W with a 160W charger

Off the top of my head , could be wrong though, the only UK available phone that can use the full power of this charger is the OnePlus 10T.

Will this work with my OnePlus 7 pro to whatever wattage fast charge it has? I've currently got the first OnePlus fast charge and don't have the newer ones
    razo's avatar
No that's Warp (previously Dash) charge 30, this is Warp charge 60 and over (i.e. OnePlus 8T and newer). Unfortunately they are different technologies (edited)

Would this charge a Lenovo laptop with minimum charge wattage of 100w.
    dkj255's avatar
No, it'll charge (at best) at 45W
  13. Moss87's avatar
would this work on a laptop? like a gaming laptop?
    Andrew_Smart's avatar
No. PD output specs are only 2.25a at 20v. That's 45w.
