Looks great and has great features. Sadly the battery is really bad so things like sleep tracking is out of the question unless you charge during the day. I'd not pay this. I got mine free and don't use it anymore.

I've never had an issue with battery life will pop my on to charge as I bath or show and then by the time I'm done it's back to 100%

Heads up, you need to pay a fee to use LTE functions. About £7 for EE; didn't bother with my wife's, so somewhat wasted... Each to their own though and if you're looking to keep the phone at home, this will come into its own. Good price by the way, heat added.

I believe the LTE can make 999 calls, including automated ones, without an LTE subscription. So it may be extremely un-wasted someday.

Not the same as contacting your nominated emergency *contact* (part of Safety Signal) which can also be used without an LTE subscription as long as you have Fitbit Premium instead. Which seems a really obscure place to bundle it and I can't imagine many people would notice.

I do not need another smart thing

Good smart watch, I got WiFi/Bluetooth version. The battery is poor although mine can last for a day and half if Bluetooth + WiFi is switched off.

The charging is good, it can charge up to 50% in half an hour.

So if you don't use a smart watch as a smart watch you still get poor battery? My 10 year old Pebble Steel still lasts 3-5 days. (edited)

Thats a great price if you can use the lte features(ee and Vodafone only i think?).just charge it for an hour when it suits like when watching tv or having a shower and it easily goes for 24hrs including gym for me.bigger battery would be great but its totally manageable.

I just don't see the point in smart watches I'll be honest. In almost every scenario I could see myself using one, I'd just use my phone over it since it's going to be on me all the time anyway?

Having bought the pixel watch 2 WiFi edition, I can agree. I thought of so many useful scenarios but ultimately have found that the previous Huawei gt2e I owned does 99% of the things I use it for except it had much better battery life. I guess the only one saving piece is being able to use the Fitbit premium videos, albeit you only get the trail for 6 months (edited)

Do you require a Google phone to have the LTE features activated? I currently have an S24 and Watch 5 Pro with LTE activated and must have this with a samsung phone. Is this true of Google Pixel watch and Pixel Phone?

    Thanks.

No. It will work as a normal Bluetooth watch. Got the pixel 1 with Xiaomi phone

The battery is fine. Charge while you are getting ready in the morning - as suggested above for 30 mins. It lasts until the next day without having to compromise on any functions. I do, however, keep 'always on display' function off.

You actually get better life with it on with flick to wake off, the latter uses a lot of battery

Whilst this is a great deal for the LTE version. The use case of the LTE version is low and it just means that the WiFi version is likely to drop in price below the LTE version again at some stage I would imagine

Current owners: can anyone recommend a decent jet black strap? The one that comes as standard is a bit lighter compared to the case and looks a bit odd (edited)

Anyone used this with an S24U? Any loss of functionality?
    Madmonk600's avatar
I have that combo and it works fine. Battery life is over 24 hours with around an hour of GPS workout plus 30 to 60 mins of other workout, plus using Google Assistant and other apps a bit. Only thing I don't like is the small size.

Think I will wait for the Pixel Watch 3 as this does little my current Versa 3 doesn't and has a worse battery life. I still get 3-4 days out of my Versa and it charges in no time at all.
    user072022's avatar
thats true Pixel 2 watch is not in stock anyways so wait is only option
  13. Leo932498's avatar
    Out of stock sadly. :-(

Yes but on the WiFi version. So I suspect it will go that low again at some point
