To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, Plantation have released an extra-special Barbados rum, packaged alongside a pair of celebratory glasses. The rum has been initially aged in the Caribbean in bourbon casks before undergoing a second maturation in the Charente in smaller French oak casks.
QUINTESSENTIAL CARIBBEAN
To honor Alexandre Gabriel’s 20th anniversary as Master Blender, we created Plantation XO 20th Anniversary using a blend of quintessential extra-old rums from Barbados.
Over a decade later, we are still very proud of this rum as it continues to receive praises and top awards.
THE JOURNEY
First aged in bourbon casks in Barbados for many years, this rum is then sailed across the ocean in barrels to the southwest of France to be further matured in small Ferrand French oak casks.
This centuries-old “double ageing“ process imparts incredible smoothness and complexity. It unveils a sophisticated palate of chocolate, vanilla, ripe banana, roasted coconut and a hint of fresh mango notes. With a remarkably long finish, Plantation XO 20th Anniversary is truly a rum to savor.

sorted byBut the main reason I am posting it,is because the whole brand has been renamed to Planteray after about 30 years. So the branded pack did OK last time at this price due to this. Might be something for people who like this. (edited)
