So if you play alot on your PS4 I highly recommend a PS5, and pair that with a PS+ Extra subscription(think like Netflix) and you will have 100s of games to play with plenty being AAA games.
Now if a slim came out I can't see it being much smaller and it probably won't have a Blu-ray drive built in and could run hotter, I wouldn't buy it but if a Pro comes out that's when I would upgrade. (edited)
