I’ve got a membership! Pays for itself with one purchase, they’ll unbox it for you and take your old console away for free

Only worth it if you have a membership, no point becoming a member and paying £40 to get a £50 discount

Imagine for a second that people already have a membership 🧠

Another 'great' deal, let down by the fact that most people can't take advantage of it.

How many of those that clicked heat realised after that they can't get the deal, do you think? A lot!

I’m struggling to figure out where you get £369 from too. This member discount takes it down to £419 for me.

Yes. The picture shows a slot for discs and on the AO link it says it plays digital and disc games.

Imagine being scammed into paying £40 to be a member or nothing

i guess if you buy a lot of electricals, whiteware etc i cant see the point of being a member here. Every time i have looked it wasn't worth the extra for me. good for those that are regular AO shoppers though.

If you're stocking up on PS5s or other gadgets... remember to check your Amex portal if you have one.

OFFER DETAILS : Save to Card to get a £50 statement credit when you make a single, eligible transaction of £500+ online at AO by 31/3/2024. Valid once per Card. (might just buy a bunch of games to get the total to £500).

These should be down to £300 by Xmas at least. Couldn't imagine paying £400 for 30fps in 2024. I know some games have a "performance" mode, but it almost always requires VRR for a good experience. Even then the VRR support on ps5 is so poor that any dips below 48fps pretty much makes it irrelevant.

With many of Sony's games also coming to PC these days it also brings into question the value of console gaming for those willing to invest a little time into building their own system. (You dont have to buy overpriced new gpu and CPUs, eBay is amazing for components that are only a "gen" older)
