Product Description

The PRS CE has become a stable range in the PRS line-up, giving you a snappy response and deeply dynamic tones. The PRS SE CE24 Standard Satin Electric Guitar gives you that same snappy goodness in an affordable form, combining a full Mahogany body with a Maple bolt-on neck. Featuring a thin satin finish on the body, the SE CE24 produces a highly resonant deep and warm undertone.

Premium Playability
With a semi-gloss finish on the Maple neck, you can move swiftly and comfortably up and down the Rosewood fretboard, you can expect a premium feel from this budget friendly PRS making it an unparalleled instrument amongst other guitars of its calibre.

Brilliant Tone
Loaded with two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, the SE CE24 delivers extended highs and lows with plenty of clarity for a balanced and warm sound. Featuring push/pull tone controls, you can split the humbuckers for single-coil versatility that will expand your tonal soundscapes further, making the SE CE24 the perfect performing instrument boasting a plethora of sonic variety.

Key Features

These are the Asian made versions, with a few economy features like, for example, scarf jointed headstocks. The CE model is a bolt on neck guitar on US PRS and also on Asian PRS SE.

Still a very fine guitar and good value for this price. A USA made CE24 is about £2.8K. (edited)

I have an SE 24 and it's as nice to play as my US Les Paul. Sounds very different obviously. It's like a hi-fi guitar, really clean and very versatile..

Bolt on neck style looks very outdated and inaccessible compared to the type of joints Ibanez have been building for decades. Or look at Eggle Berlins from the 90s.

I had a Patrick Eggle Berlin that I bought directly from the factory in Coventry in around 1996. Awesome looking guitar very high quality materials but I didn't get on with it and swapped it for an Ibanez AM-205 about 2 or 3 years later. I remember it seeming quite cutting edge back then with locking machine heads and Wilkinson trem.

Not the biggest fan of the PRS buckers but the turquoise is gorgeous.

I don't really like how the body looks compared to regular SE but seems like a great price otherwise, there isn't really any downside to the bolt-on neck, upper fret access more or less is just as good as the set neck.

Holding a PRS with a set neck neck feels to me like they are carved out of granite.

This guitar gets a 10/10 in this month’s Guitarist magazine, and that’s at the RRP of £499. This sounds like a very good deal.

Heh perhaps i should learn to play my Gibson Les paul sitting next to me instead of considering buying this eh?
    MrAkagi's avatar
But you need the 24 frets and better upper fret access, no?

Good price for pretty much a staple instrument for us mere mortals
