You can get used Oculus 2 for 120-150, which is the way better choice.

I learnt this the hard way. I first bought a PSVR one and struggled with dizziness, not the best resolution (even despite applying magic tricks on steam) etc.
I left it unused for a month or two because of that.

Finally upgraded to Oculus and there is no dizziness and way better resolution.

I wouldn't say it's a clear winner. The PSVR has Astro Bot, Wipeout Omega, Blood & Truth, RE7, etc - some of the best VR games out there.

Different people have different experiences with headsets. I've never felt dizzy with PSVR.

Bought mine the last time it was on here... Came with everything, haven't used it since the day I got it

Try Astro Bot, the headset is worth it for that game alone.

I looked at getting one of these from CEX a while back but there were question marks as to whether you got the PSU or not. Deffo recommend going in store to get it like you said

Does this require a camera too to function?
    awiew's avatar
Yes, a separate camera is needed

Got this last year from cex and sold it, it's absolutely rubbish compared to oculus 2

personally I'd get the v1 - headphones make little different IMHO and its £8 less at £30: uk.webuy.com/pro…le=

V2 definitely worth the small extra £s in my opinion. That cable connecter bit dragging around your feet was a pain in the neck, and the cable is lighter on the new one. Integrated controls in the headset are much better too.

I think discounted means damaged in some way.

Paid £200 for mine. Barely used it.
A lot of the games are blurry. Put me off.

I bought it last year, it is nice addition for the price. Played the demo and Skyrim but haven’t used it regularly. Remember you need an adapter to connect camera to PS5. Sony promised to send one but I never got mine, bought it also from CEX

Got mine last year for a similar price, and also found a perfectly fitting Power A carry case for it in the same CEX store lol. Its a cool device if you keep expectations in check for the age and price. PS5 users will need to buy the usb camera adapter dongle.

Excellent games available like Wipeout VR, Driveclub VR, Astrobot.

That said, these things can be NASTY due to age and being second hand. I recommend deep cleaning and maybe grabbing a spare silicon lightmask (and maybe some exercise headbands).

You can also get 3d printed lens guards to minimise scratching the inner lenses, especially if you wear glasses.

Be sure to check the lenses when buying. As far as I'm aware, there are no replacement lenses available currently.

The servicing and maintenance information for this CUH-ZVR2 variant is far less common that the first variant. Here's a guide on some teardown and preventative maintenance for this 2nd iteration CUH-ZVR2 model for anyone interested in sterilising their device.
