About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
The excellent Wifi version of the Reolink doorbell is currently at its lowest-for-a-while price of £85.49 (slightly cheaper than when I bought it at £89.99)
To get this price just continue through to the checkout - the 5% discount will be automatically applied.
You can also get the PoE version at £82.99 with a clip-voucher if that suits you better.
I opted for the Wifi version because it was easier for me to install, but PoE is great if you can get an ethernet cable to your doorbell (and add a PoE injector) as its then a single cable, and no chance of problems due to bad wifi. Sofar though the Wifi performance has been perfect for me.
I would highly recommend this doorbell, having previously had a Ring Pro, and then a Blink doorbell. Unlike most other video doorbells the footage it takes is yours to do what you want with - just record to the doorbell itself (on a MicroSD card), stream to a NVR, transfer via FTP - e-mail, whatever. You do also have the option to pay for cloud storage too. Performance is excellent, and being a wired doorbell can record 6s of pre-event footage (or even record continuously if you have a NVR)

Edit: looks like people are saying the WiFi is terrible even when close to the router and smart home integration is pants. Pity.
Might consider the PoE version, but will it work over Power line adapters? (edited)
PoE version of course removes that concern. It should work over powerline adapters, but won't be able to provide power that way of course (unless there's such a thing as a combined powerline adapter/PoE injector). You'd probably need 2 power sockets close to where you want the doorbell. Powerline adaptor in one and PoE injector in the other (short Ethernet cable connecting the two and longer one to the doorbell). That'd work OK I think.
You could skip the Poe injector and just run both Ethernet and a separate power cable to the doorbell. It includes a power adapter and a length of cable to do this in the box. But you can Also do this with the wifi doorbell (WiFi doorbell also has a Ethernet port, it just can't be powered that way)
Does the WiFi version work with an existing Reolink NVR that has CCTV cameras plugged into it?
Without using the cloud storage can you view live footage, or stored footage from anywhere? Do you get real time alerts regardless of what version you get?
What is the use of cloud storage and how much does it cost?
Thanks in advance
Both WIFI and POE should work with exiting NVR but depending the number of hardware revision, some of the NVR are not able to output 8K footage to a monitor properly due to the limitation of display card in certain hardware revision.
However, you should able to view full resolution on desktop client and mobile app.
Decent clear image,
ONVIF and RTSP working fine. Alexa, Google assistant all working.
Only thing that I'm a bit wary of is that this could easily be nicked off the wall. All that's needed is a simple pin/small screwdriver underneath and it comes right off in seconds. (edited)

Let me know if it comes on again. I'll buy and return. (edited)
Also the link to the recording NVR supplies the power to the camera so no other power cables required.
I have the POE version and it's brilliant.
No need for jammers.
If you have the luxury of laying the LAN cable then POE is better.
You can pair with Reolink NVR and NAS/FTP for secondary storage.
No online subscription required and you can keep your data local.
Intergrated very well into Home Assistant.
Then you remove your old bell button - and connect the new doorbell in place - again there are extra bits of cable in the box to make it easier to connect to the old doorbell wiring.
See - How to Install Reolink Video Doorbell Cameras to the Existing Doorbell Wiring
If the old doorbell does not supply enough voltage then you will either need to replace the transformer (which might need an electrician) - or alternatively just use the plug-in wall adapter included in the box - which comes with a length of cable to run directly from the plug to the doorbell. MicroSD card can go straight into the doorbell before you mount it.
Once the doorbell is powered the rest is pretty straightforward - just follow the instructions in the app. The new chime just plugs into an available power socket somewhere in the house. You should be able to easily add the doorbell in the Reolink app and start using it!
1) cloud storage (for a fee)
2) FTP to whatever FTP server you configure
3) stream to an NVR (either the reolink one or pretty much any other, it supports standard protocols)
4) email clips to you
If you are worried about the WiFi signal being jammed then connect the doorbell via an Ethernet cable (you should opt for the PoE version if this is your intention from the outset, cause it can then power the doorbell by the same cable. The WiFi one can also be connected via Ethernet, but it still needs a separate connection for power)
Personally I just have a FTP server running on a raspberry pi inside the house, and have set it up to FTP clips to that. I might configure a NVR for continuous recording at some point in the future
Now £119 but the £31 voucher is still available (edited)
