2 year battery life maybe if you turn them off all the time you are home, set the motion detection zone to a tiny square and luck is on your side.

The reality is the batteries will last 3-4 months at a push and the required lithium batteries are about £20 for a pack of 10.

The solar mount they offer is worse than useless, I’ve had 3 replacements under warranty now and given up, I’ve gone back to buying expensive batteries until I can afford a better system.

Yeah, 2 years is an absolute fantasy! I've got around the expensive lithium battery issue by buying these: Rapthor AA Lithium Rechargeable... amazon.co.uk/dp/…are

Higher upfront costs but I'd say they last longer than the energizers and are a doddle to recharge.

A warning if you're adding to original Blink setup that gets the free cloud storage that these are not eligible, and you have to pay a subscription to use the cloud service, new sync model has usb to allow you to store footage locally but reviews saying its painfully slow.
Recently bought an addon because of condensation getting into my 4 year old XT2 but returned due to subscription costs and bought a silicone cover instead.

I use in low traffic areas to protect property and battery last about one Year for me.

I found these to be great battery cameras when I could use them....and the only video doorbell we ever got to work.....BUT now a major caveat.....

We had wifi issues with BT dropping connection and needed BT & a new router....all settings on the router changed to match the original, all other wifi cameras, plugs, lights & devices worked OK......just not the Blinks (any of them)m neither of the 2 sync modules, or cameras or doorbell will link....keep getting a wifi password incorrect when trying to link to Blink servers, but the password is correct & Blink CS/Support are useless simply telling me to try what I already have.....resets, even tried creating a new Blink account with the same result...2.4Ghz only outut set on router...still no connection, ended up binning the lot

Really a great shame as it was the best video doorbell we had ever used as it connected to all our Alexa devices (edited)
