Just found out that the Milton Keynes branch of Rutland Cycling is closing down and they are offering up to 55% off in store. Some great deals on bikes and there are lots of accessories and spares still up for grabs. Helmets, cycling shoes and clothing were showing 40% off but the website says up to 55% so maybe it's gone down even more since I went in on Saturday. They said the Brixworth store in Northampton was also closing but I cannot verify that.
I bought a Specialized Align 2 helmet which was down from £45 to £24.30: rutlandcycling.com/rid…708
and grabbed some tyre levers down from £4.99 to £3.14 (can't find them on the site but these are both shown on my receipt).
There was a Specialized Proper 3 helmet there which was £110 and now £66 (this is showing on the website): rutlandcycling.com/rid…643
and if course had too chuck in some cleaner which was £11.99 down to £7.19: rutlandcycling.com/acc…690

Can't find the receipt for the cleaner but got the one for the helmet and the tyre levers! Hope this helps someone - the bikes are where the big savings are, so if you're in the market for a new bike it may be worth a trip!

They got bought by specialized & stopped selling Giant / Kask / everything else
I suspect Specialized were always going to close down some stores

'Can't find the receipt for the cleaner' - they're not selling people now as well?

I bought a decent bike from Rutland Cyling in Peterborough at the start of 2022, they were really helpful. So based on that experience I would recommend them. No idea about the Milton Keynes store but hopefully has the same level of expertise and assistance. (edited)

Used to be the biggest cycle shop in the country, not sure if it still is but always had good service. Going to be a shame when they close but they just don’t advertise themselves enough and most people I speak to who visit the Milton Keynes shopping centre never realised they were there as they are across a busy road. Not making enough money unfortunately so they’re having to close ☹️

How is that shopping centre today? Is half empty like everywhere else?

Was stupidly busy on Saturday. First payday after Christmas and everyone was out! 😩

Bike prices went through the roof and waiting lists were crazy. I bought second hand off gumtree.

    Yup, R.I.P the bike industry.

For sure. It's sad, but when times are tight people cut down on things like cycling, but won't give up their unhealthy kicks like cigs, takeaways, etc. Obviously there's also the factor of the industry being over-saturated during Covid.
