sorted byNice find
im gonna give u my honest thought, as i always have done on site,
i enjoy doing these post in my spare time like other folks most, giving back to the site,
do i come across the occasional issues with palicomp, yes. do i see them at awd yes, ccl yes, ebuyer yes.
as much as time n effort i put into post then comes that person with that issue previous but on a % its very very minor vs the happy tons of folks with outstanding builds,
2020 i have found them to be the most competive when "challenged"
the deals posted by me are 70% my ideas, i pitch firms all the time, im not in charge of price, so not all my ideas on these firms "get posted" as there is tons of ideas of mine around the net with builds with idea to fll the cracks but they fails as i saw fit on the price.
as for sorting issues i do find them the quickest,
i remember a guy who specific wants a certain type of 1660s the idiot builder put in the normal 1660s, pali resent it n then request the other back, vs that same kinda situation elsehwere "send the entire system back" or send in the gpu n will send the one out, time with out a PC when it can be avoided based on trust, so i found that to be quite decent vs other things ive heard elsewhere when things get T up.
but on the other foot, no doubt on a forum like this someone will of had a nightmare initially one to the next
thats my thought.
None mate.
and as ive proved, im not just bios towards palicomp, ive posted as u know AWD/CCL/BOXUK), swear ive done the odd currys one, or ive mention it as an alt, falcon once or twice, done scan too, dont think ive ever posted an overclockers if i have prob once.
just go with the times,
18th march..
1 says this will be "clusterF" and the other says "not heard out about stocks" and the 3rd just laughed at me.
but dont worry this idiot here will be checking the net thursday for that needle. (edited)

one of my personal favs.
24inch nothing personal, times changed.
27+ looks rubbish on 1080 personal.
IPS is nicer but price kicks in more so VA is good enough.
and u got a monitor to last to for your next GPU upgrade as well, but ull most be gaming in the region of80/90s
if ur one into 144 aspect then look at the 1080 but personal its not for me when im gaming on budget GPU which is a 60s gpu,
decent settings, better reso, a good size monitor for a better overall standard. a balanced standard.
PS: always get some speakers for built in ones, speakers on monitors are worse then TV's (edited)
I echo these sentiments... I used to build PC's in years gone by.. and then life (marriage) .. and children f####ed it up big time !! 😳 It's great to read your posts and learn what's going on in a rapidly changing world of tech .. f### the haters, you're doing us a service passing your knowledge on... keep passing it forward - that's how the universe rewards!! 🔥
3060TI --> poor everywhere.
3070 ---> was good until last week, last week stock issues for that weeks allowcations - but forecast looks fair.
3080 --> gone crap.
Thanks very much sarden84, been following your deals for a while and this is exactly what we needed. My son was gutted when I told him today that there are no GPU anywhere.
I upgraded a few items, 3600mhz ram and some other bits and just placed the order now so fingers crossed it gets here before next week.
Bought a PC from them for my daughter (thanks to Sarden) works like a charm and was the cheapest for what I paid for. Great company and easy to deal with and OP is a helpful and delightful chap.
Value for money is the main thing I’m aiming for and I’m thinking to buy a pre built with everything minus the graphics card and using my current GTX 1080 until the 30 series is more reasonable, honestly what I’m looking for is advice from someone more savvy than me, up until now I’ve been happy with High end 1080p gaming but if I’m upgrading I want the next one to be the ‘Dream Pc’ future proof, the thought of paying crazy inflated prices for the new GPU’s right now when I have a perfectly fine 1080 right now hurts though 🥲 hence wanting to be ‘ready’ to replace it without throttling a 3070+ Sorry for the novel, if you have any advice it would be much appreciated, but I realise you do this in your own time and my needs are quite vague so I won’t be offended if not thanks again!
Hi man.
Feels free to ask.
shame and sorry to hear of the current system, if u need help on that on a change of mind just ask, but best stripping the cpu/mb out of it and bang that on ebay as u get prime returns for combo sets -> gumtree is good too.
you have afew options.
1) become part of the problem, buy the system what suits with the GPU, n sell the GPU for more then the calc urself and just keep ur old GPU, wait to the market gets better and then flip. "its a dog eat world, if u dont do it someone wil do it"
2) obtain the full system and keep the competive packaged GPU u found like this n flip out the old GPU too as it also works in ur advantage as ur old GPU is current making a decent buck as well.
3) pitch them for this system for the best price of a 3600 or 5600x n co without a GPU -> best to tell me ur budget n desires more for this as i can help custom complete system which on site case suits u? coug mesh? or gamemax f15M if u want an ATX, as the others said the 500DX or that lancool is a pop hit too, if going for ATX then i reco the tuf boards, going for gold psu 650W seasonic here is a fav of theirs which they are competive, if u wanna go even high on gpu such as a 3080 ull need a 750W psu and their competive line is "adata XPG 750W gold" which is one of the best in the game. - all this can also apply for the others too with the gpu.
so u got afew options, dont just give up on the GPU because u got a GPU, as u can take advantage too.
4th option does not apply to you, but for folks who want a non gaming system to start for a gaming system for the future "market wait" then the best atm for that is 10400.- if u search 10400 on here and hit "discussion tab" my idea is on their for others. (edited)
Does the qjump option really get it to me next day
Yea, Palicomp are good, always posted on here. In my experience on 2 occasions without the qjump, they were delivered within a week.
Thank you, you may well have saved my bacon here for my sons birthday next week! This is pretty much the system I’ve been trying to build all week, at a similar price. But as we all know getting a GPU is impossible.
I might go and order this now so I don’t miss out.
Morning,
Yes.
Pre virus upgrade worthy: Debatable.
will all depend on how one games, at what reso or if RTX cores matter n co. "own research would be my tip and get a base level of knowledge of the upgrade ur thinking to see if its personal worthy of it.
in this market: prob 101% / if one is seeking a new system as well.
prime returns for used GPUs so that 1080 should give u a good return./ this being competive.
VS
waiting for better market, these GPUs getting older, "could be a long wait" for better prices / but knock ur old gpu market value would drop too.
so i guess the answer does one need a system upgrade too would be the simple answer.
Yea stock informer has been a bit sparse lately.
This is one I've found best. Don't expect miracles though.

Dear palicomp, ive seen you best buy pc on the web which has options to select the following:
Best Buy £400
Ryzen 3600 + B550 + RTX3060 +£525
Swap on storage +£30 to 1TB from 480/1TB (optional)
and then having the coug mesh case for +£20.
package: £1025
i would like this deal but with a custom deal, i would be looking at exchanging the 3600 £170 -> Intel 10400F £130 which i know is £40 cheap atm, also swap the motherboard from the B550m-k £85 to the Asus B460 you do which i know is £10 more.
but i also need to have double the ram, £70
if u can do the following:
Intel 10400F
B460 Motherboard
32GB 3000mhz Ram
600W PSU
1TB sn550
Coug Mesh
RTX 3060
wifi
windows 10
Total cost: 1065
so this is just over but reason why i dropped to the intell to get more ram as that would be a nice bonus for u., u could rewrite this and knock the windows of -£50 so that be £1015 then in my calc to ask for. its worth asking,
i know they are due to doing an intel version soon as its something ive pitched them for, but there checking stock numbers tomorrow to double check they can do a global one so a one of ask no probs atm. (edited)
Good, might order this in the morning. Do these deals stay up overnight
Yea, should be good in the morning. Although I have known them sell out of certain graphics cards and not update the site. In that case you’d get an email offering other options, and the chance to negotiate.
Any ideas on a good monitor to use for this system?
Preferably 27", but 24" will be fine as well. Should I be going 144hz, and then 1440p or 1080p? Any particular brands to go with?
Budget is around £200-250, or £300 at a push. (edited)
600W is more then enough, but 750W will give u more headroom for the future. i.e 3080.
Defo man, or the alt is this one: box.co.uk/iiy…tml
3 onsite selections mate.
user on here came to me last night for that alt idea on the higher ram / gold psu.
/ /As i said that optional aspect.
so i did a manual pitch for him:
Ryzen 3600
16GB Adata 3600mhz Ram C17
B550M-K
650W Seasonic GOLD
1TB NVME "WD"
Coug Mesh
3060 Graphics Card
Windows 10
Wifi
Hyper 412 Cooler
PRICE @ £1080 Inc Vat & Delivery
sales@palicomp.co.uk
£1025 + £55 as i said for that £27/£26 inc on them 2 items and as a juicy little bonus for the cooler upgraded free (edited)
I used them to buy a budget pc, paid extra for cable management and is really nicely done big box and shipped well did take a while to arrive must be busy with all their deals coming on here
Yes
Yes I removed Windows Home. Personally I'm going to pass as I will just install Windows Pro myself and it already comes with 3 year warranty and I'm likely to have upgraded/changed components by then. The memory upgrade is only a marginal improvement. (edited)
I upgraded and got the pc in 2 days. Negotiate anything you can back for the steam keys though, I wasnt even disappointed when 3 of the 10 keys didn't work as they were so dire. It actually devalues the package, they should stop offering them.
3070's have been most widely available this week across the discord groups. Amazon in particular have had some reasonably priced drops that quite a few got on one discord.
Legend.
I had considered it but I really didn’t want to contribute to the current scalper climate if I could help it.
I had the 5600x in mind as that seems the best value price to performance wise but I’m definitely not against going higher end, my budget is probably sitting at £1500 without a graphics card, I haven’t fully decided on what GPU to get eventually but 3070 is the minimum so I’ll probably get a 750w PSU in the case I decide to go higher, other than that I’m open, I’d prefer to not have to mess around with needing to overclock myself, case I’d probably say the 500dx, my previous build I was stuck with a hideous case that was an absolute behemoth really appreciate all the advice, It’s been super helpful in deciding!
There is a massive gap between a 3060 and a 3060ti, the 3060 really is a poor show of 30series card.
will take another look when im on fully laters for this spec.
defo need more 5600x/3070!
There is a time n place for budget parts, and in this we got some and the cost does not reflect it either.
old corsair case nothing wrong with that but then we got the likes of a cv650 nothing wrong with this either if the price is right, but then we got a 3070 / 3900x n its using 3000mhz ram 240GB SSD n 1TB for 1500.00
Na, this is wide of the mark.
any reason a 3900X grabbed ur attention? (edited)
I want to step up to 3080ti ftw3 from my 3080 ftw3 but they won't be out in time now.
