Better off getting this Kioxia imo.Has DRAM cache
I have a Samsung 980 (which was my boot drive), and the Kioxia.
My clone times are drastically reduced now by using the Kioxia, and very little difference in speed in day to day use on my desktop PC.
Kioxia for me all day long

The Samsung is more than twice as fast, has half more TBW, is using superior MLC vs TLC in the Exceria. The most budget of the Exceria lineup vs flagship model from Samsung. DRAM is not the do all and with 1GB of DRAM in the 1TB version of the Exceria, I'd imagine half that in the 500GB. 512mb of DRAM gets filled very fast when cloning. Great for small file transfer. And all this is before using Samsung Magicians Rapid Cache that significantly increases transfer speeds by utilising more HMB..
