The answer to your question is: yes, you can tell a noticeable difference.
The best tablet for me, at the moment is, Amazon Fire Max 11. you can pick one up, brand new for around £100 on ebay. Once you side load google services it's good to go for everything : streaming, internet browsing, books, music, the lot! ... (edited)

I have been using a Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus to watch TV/Movies on in bed with a gooseneck and I wanted to give that tablet to my daughter and replace it for myself.

For something more or less strictly for streaming can anyone say if 1340x800 is noticeably different that 1920x1200 on an 8in display?? I was using a K1 Tablet before as well but it's just crawling now.

The media is mostly 1920x1080 that I stream.. I see a lot of tablets posted around this price buy they don't seem to make it to the Full HD barrier.

Thank you for anyone that might be able to help

Seems we followed a similar route...

I too had an Nvidia shield K1, I also had a Tab 4 8 Plus (which ended up in the bin. Terrible thing) and I too use it for streaming while in bed while hooked up to a goose neck.

I just recently replaced my K1 with an Lenovo M10 3rd Gen which Initially had my doubts about but Im honestly questioning myself why i didnt do it sooner.

Yes its a little more expensive than the A9 here and Lenovo software updates are questionable but I have had a great time with my M10. The bigger screen on it also makes watching videos a lot more enjoyable than any 7-8" tablet. Argos currently has the M10 Plus for £135 after 10% discount code If you do get it from Argos, you might be lucky to pick up the version with the snapdragon 680 which is the best processor out of the M10 Plus variants, although the Helio G80 isnt terrible per se~. The snap dragon 680 isnt the latest and greatest but it will do videos at 1440p as long as the file format is one that the processor supports so it can do all the decoding work. It will do youtube at 1440p easy aswell if you have premium (or know unofficial work arounds to get 1440p on the android app...) Its also capable of light gaming and some web browsing.

Cant recommend the M10 Plus enough although I stepped into my local currys the other day and had a look at the A9 and the screen on it was absolutely beautiful but the resolution is a weak point compared the M10.

I can answer any questions you might have on the M10.

Depends on the use case, OS, etc.

Many people will have tablets/phones etc which are absolutely fine with that.

I looked up this model and it has a 11.5inch screen, or is there a smaller version?

Used the "redirect" link in the description. Selected black WiFi version and added to basket. Entered the code but it doesn't work.
