Quantum Matrix Technology - Mini LEDs create an incredibly sharp picture
Samsung's Neo QLED range uses Quantum Mini LEDs - lights that are approximately the size of a grain of sand. They are precisely controlled to create deep blacks, boosted brightness levels, and intense detail and contrast in every aspect of the picture.

Neural Quantum Processor 4K - Our most intelligent 4K processor
Think of the processor as the brain of the TV, and this is our most intelligent 4K processor yet. Using AI and 20 neural networks, it optimises the sound and picture to unleash the full power of 4K. Learning scene-by-scene, it automatically optimises the brightness, amplifies the contrast, enhances objects, clarifies voices over background noise and upscales the resolution to incredible 4K picture quality.

Dolby Atmos® - Cinematic sound reimagined with Dolby Atmos
Dolby Atmos technology delivers a sound experience that you can feel all around you. It works with the TVs 6 built-in speakers to create an incredibly immersive and realistic impression of sound. When a helicopter flies overhead in your favourite blockbuster, it feels like it is actually flying over you.

What settings have people settled in on with this? Care to share your settings?

I find that, even leaving colours at 25, it seems to clip certain colours, so I left mine at 21. Contrast Enhancer on "Low" seems to help with SDR content (but not in HDR) and I quite like colour mode "Warm 1". Filmmaker mode is good for having all the extra processing turned off and has a decent response time for gaming. Local dimming "High" works quite well in SDR, but "Medium" is best in HDR, as I find it darkens the image too much if left on high in that mode. Auto HDR Remastering is also on in SDR mode for me

Not sure how happy I am but I do find it a pleasing image most of the time. (edited)

    Standard picture mode.
    Brightness 40
    Contrast 45
    Sharpness 10
    Colour 26
    Picture clarity 'off'
    Local dimming 'high'
    Contrast enhancer 'high'
    Auto hdr remastering 'on'
    Brightness optimisation 'off'
    Energy saving 'off'
    Motion lighting 'off'

Took about 2 weeks adjustment to settle on these settings and seems fine for all picture sources and quality.

I have turned off picture clarity completely as juddering was occurring at any setting when it was turned on. (edited)

This price is comparable to TCL 55C805K (with 6yr warranty from Richer Sounds). How do you rate these 2 models?
    Watsonage's avatar
I need an answer to this too, I've seen people say they're about the same or to get the TCL, but I can't see anyone comment on how important the TCL having Dolby Vision is, in general discussions some people call it vital but I haven't seen it get talked about with these two

Fantastic price! and a great warranty! I've got a smaller 2022 version of this, it's great. Heat

That’s a great price for this tv. I have the 65” version. It’s quite reflective but at the price I bought it for and my needs is perfect.

What you mean by quite reflective?. Screen?.

I was so close to buy 55 inch 2 days ago for £704, but now I decided to buy 65 inch for £827. Nice find, thank you

Thanks for posting. Went through Quidco so will see if anything tracks, been teetering on hisense or TCL but not confident in quality with number of posts returning due to dse or less consistent build quality. At less than £600 with 5ywarranty ticks all the boxes for me.

Purchased this for £675 last week from Amazon with no extended warranty. Have just purchased this and will return the Amazon order (£60 return fee) but I'll still be £30 better off WITH the additional warranty. Many thanks for the find! (edited)

Wow £60 fee? And you not a prime member?

Bought the 50" version a couple of weeks back direct from Samsung.
Decent tv apart from dark shading around the edges of the screen on bright scenes.
Mainly visible when a bright sly background is on screen.
My previous Qled didn't have this issue. No amount of settings adjustment rectifies this .
Don't know if it's the design of the Neo mini led Qled, causing this by not lighting the edges of the screen uniformly? (edited)

If you're talking about vignette, this is completely normal for a full array local dimming display.

Was your previous tv even local dimming? (edited)

How does it compare to LG's OLEDs?
    XiaofengXiaofeng_Xiaofeng's avatar
It's not an OLED. Pretty much sums it up. The OLED obviously has better dimming but has other drawbacks. The brightness in most content is almost identical.

Has anybody tried Samsung's Q Symphony feature? I have a Q60T soundbar and a subwoofer from previous deals, I've bought the TCL C845 from the other deal but I'm curious whether this feature adds anything to the sound quality that would make it worth swapping to this instead.
    XiaofengXiaofeng_Xiaofeng's avatar
    Highly doubt it
