If you don't want to keep the number then just text ‘STAC’ to 75075 from the Talkmobile SIM to request a ‘service termination authorisation code’. The rest of the process is the same as PAC. This takes away the hassle of having to talk to your current provider if you simply want to leave them. More info.

Talkmobile move your billing date when you start, meaning you get 2 & a bit months at the lower rate, or 3 and a bit at the full rate.

They get near confrontational when you try to cancel, & it's a contract so you can't just stop the direct debit or they enter it in your credit file.

Then when this runs out switchy you can then switchy to the 4gb 5g data for £4.95 a month. Also talk mobile have cheapish roaming for non-EU countries. Free EU roaming included for now

Is this free roaming in the EU countries ? Thanks

    For now there is.

However Voxi (another Vodafone co) announced they will be ending free roaming this month, & I'd be surprised if the let one of their companies continue.

The high price of taking back control of our roaming charges.

Cracking way for someone wanting to test Vodafone signal. Lebara marginally better after the 3 months (5p less or 1GB more).

It’s nice to know i don’t have to fund ‘free’ EU roaming. Talkmobile might well drop it but it’s about time non-eu roaming got better. Lebara offer free Indian roaming. I don’t mind if it's not free but not rip off prices. Be interesting whether talkmobile will have a package and an allowance to use or at minute charges. Point is some people like me only use roaming on certain days and only to send a few messages to loved ones. So paying £6 to send a couple of message is not great. However WhatsApp and wifi mean you don’t need to use roaming. Even in SA where I holiday you got wifi at shopping centres and coffee shops.

    😁😁😁😁😁

Remind me how much you funded free EU roaming?

Did you feel you "took back control" saying that?

lebara is better. u can even now get 15gb for £6.97 (half price for 3 months). 2 weeks ago, I got one sim deal for £4.97 for 4gb Internet ( half this price for first 3 months).

Possibly add this to basket, then go via tcb, but not sure it will track

They said if the number wasn't ported in ?a month? the direct debits would continue.

I them got short with them & told them I just wanted to dump their company and they appeared to be trying to find readings why I couldn't.

They then said they'd end the contract, but to keep the direct debit open for three months for any late charges.

I had TM a couple of years ago and they have another 2 digits to go with pac or stack so beware very confusing.

What you've said suggests you possibly hadn't got to the end of whatever minimum contract period you had with them (why would you need more than a month to use the PAC code otherwise?) There aren't any valid reasons why they can refuse to give you the PAC code (but they do have to warn you about potential costs, and will of course try to sell you offers to keep you, hence why the SMS PAC transfer route is so valuable - best thing OFCOM ever did, even if it was many years overdue!)

I am using Talkmobile since last march. I found talkmobile 4G, 3G signal at Cardiff can make me crazy. It doesn't have any phone signal nor mobile data if inside any retail shops, contacted their customer support for 4 times but helpless. The main problem is I still have 9 months contract to go.
