These are great. Expensive and not as good as a simple pair of decent non gaming headphones. But they can connect to every console and handheld out there whilst also connecting to Bluetooth at the same time. Means I can use them on every console and PC while still taking calls and using my baby monitoring app. The ANC is good too. Swappable batteries mean you’re never tethered to a cable and can easily buy more batteries.

Don’t use the virtual surround (virtual surround is for chumps) and use a custom EQ at the hardware level (on the breakout box) so you don’t need to install steelseries sonar on your PC.

Whoever said these are the same as the Arctis pro 7.1, they’re not. These are much better. The Arctis doesn’t have ANC, has a worse battery life, doesn’t work across all consoles, has worse build quality etc. (edited)

I have the Arctis 7, and lookig to upgrade to these. But I agree with not installing the steel series software. I used the headset for years without it, realised I didn't have it and installed it, which completely broke the sound in the headset.

    Great…..
Was looking at this all week, but only found 15% off code, and it was 30% off a few weeks back and 20% off last week

So I just ordered 1 from Amazon warehouse (like new)

It is £20 cheaper from Amazon warehouse (£243)
I’ll see if the item is in good condition, if not, I return it and buy this.

Heard people say it’s best to change the ear cover anyway, so might just use the £20 I saved for it.

I have these and find then very comfortable. Why do they say to swap the covers?

I'd go with the Hyperx Orbis S, wider sound stage, clearer, crisp and natural. I have had the Arctic pro 7.1 which is the same as this so I can tell you its much better.

Orbit S doesn’t have Bluetooth, but is otherwise good. Arctis Pro 7.1 is worse than Nova Pro wireless in multiple ways, mentioned in another comment. They’re all way too expensive, but at a discount they all suddenly become a better prospect. (edited)

    Excellent headset!
I've replaced a pair of wired beyerdynamic 770 pro 250ohm driven by a mayflower mk2 DAC and I feel I got the same or very similar sound stage.
Yes, it took me about two days to tweak them, yes I had to do lots of research and tests.
I play Hunt Showdown and Sonar didn't work out at all for me. I have Sonar switched to Engine , with a flat EQ and frequencies boosted via Dolby Atmos.

I picked these up when the 30% code was on the last time and they’re genuinely the best gaming cans I’ve ever used, the battery life on top of everything else is phenomenal, use them most nights and I’m only on my 2nd charge on each battery, not cheap by any means but worth every penny

Hi all. Wanting to upgrade my old falling apart turtle beach stealth 700 gen2. What good option do I have for wireless headset for the Xbox and maybe pc not essential. Or should I just by the. Again.

    Thanks for any help

Will these work with a Quest 3?

Awful headset, bought it and wirelessly the sound quality was awful even with Sonar, and don't get me started on Sonar, bloatware galore...

    Returned it after a day

Would reccomend going for the Audeze Maxwell's instead (edited)

I have these after upgrading from Artic 7s, I wear them all day for meetings and music WFH and then gaming in the evening and they are very comfortable. The main advantage that I haven't seen people speak about is the switchable batteries. I was forever forgetting to plug it in overnight and now I always have a fully charged battery to swap out which was worth the price alone for me.

Sound wise I think they are some of the best I have had but you might expect more for £300. I use the bluetooth and wifi at the same time most days but I sometimes have interference on the BT channel. The noise canceling is crap compared to sony xm5s or whatever they are called.

Sonar is garbage and I have uninstalled after so many issues.

Wifi and BT range are decent but no better than previous gen.

All in all I'd recommend - I've not been able to find anything else I would have preferred for my work and gaming yet.

Hiya. Mind if I ask a quick question. So had these a couple of days, in terms of sounds they are great, as good if not a little clearer than my old Astro a50’s.
My question was on the Bluetooth. Which is a very cool feature, hearing my phone whilst in the game without removing my headset is very neat.

It’s seems this is powered on independently from the main power. Is that the case? So when I’m done I switched off the main power and then I switch off the Bluetooth? That seemed to be the case, but wasn’t too clear in the instructions. Thanks
