I had the standard Gold 2.0 variant of these, but returned them. The sound quality for the price is excellent, as is the comfort and build quality. But the mic quality is well below par, its the worst quality mic i have used on any headphone. If you have the headphones on loud, then the people you are talking to can hear that reverb back, as well as their own voices. So if you are playing lots of team focused MP games then expect to get muted a lot.
I have never used these ones but own the px24. I dont use the amplifier because for sofa gaming it gets in the way and ways down one side of the headset. My friends say the mic sounds good. I dont use the superhuman function because its not good and needs amp but on the plus side the wire goes straight into controller and not the console so is basically wireless. The material is comftable but feels cheap. Hope this can help for you. I wouldnt buy the px24 if i was you. :)
But the concern is with directionality and proximity. Which absolutley can make a difference. Can, not will.
I have them and I'm not sure why people are commenting about the mic not being very good. I believe it's actually got two mics build in and I've had no complaints when playing with friends about any distortion etc. Might be a luck of the draw thing or maybe people are talking about the previous model ?
can anyone comment on how good they are for pc and nvidia shield for games and movies respectively ? got decent wired headphones, these seem great for ps4 but dongle is a minus as i tend to use both usb ports there so their support for other devices is a dealbreaker for me
