Seems around £250 cheaper than anywhere else right now… most reviews suggest it’s a slightly stepped down version of the C845K. Seems decent bang for buck!

Bought this 75 inch version from Costco recently and was delivered earlier on this week. Really good TV, literally no blooming when watching in the dark using HDR/Dolby Vision Movies (even subtitles don’t bloom). Not quite OLED blacks, but pretty damn close I.e very good contrast and black levels, even the black bars are very black too (without bias lighting installed)

Remote is naff, feels cheap compared to other remotes. That’s my big negative. I’ve swapped out for a G10 Bluetooth AliExpress remote I had.

Have it integrated into Apple Home and Google Home. More control in Apple Home than Google Home, but still limited. But for Home Assistant you need to use Android ADB to allow you to control the HDMI inputs, then use specific tv input adb commands.

Can control the tv on/off via voice too via Alexa or Google assistant . With Google assistant I can control the HDMI inputs via voice too (not tried Alexa yet)

Edit: UI is super snappy and smooth too considering using the built in apps. Netflix and Stremio are snappy, but Disney while snappy to use, its initial load is a little longer (Disney app is garbage anyways)

Edit 2: one thing I forgot to mention. My TV is on its stand, and the Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar fits under the TV on the stand without blocking the screen! But…TCL idiots put the IR centre of the TV, so the soundbar blocks signals if you don’t bring it forward. I’ve bought an IR extender to overcome this. (edited)

You do have to be in the sweet spot for no blooming though. Start watching at angles and you can see blooming with the backlight doing it's thing. Thankfully my couch is dead centre of the TV.

Quantum Dot (QD) is what the Q in QLED is, this is effectively a QLED but with mini-LEDs which mean more of them and better brightness

I’m coming from the TCL 55” QLED Roku TV (too small for new lounge) and HDR brightness was pretty poor on that. How’s HDR content on this one?

HDR and DV are very good on this. Popping & bright. You don’t have a dull image or struggle to see dark scenes (edited)

I had the 65" version of this... Went though 2 of them.
The image can be great at times then others a total let down.... No free view apps work. Also live TV had an issues watching HD channels on both, where the screen would look as if it was blanking out and coming back.
The second one i thought i would contact TCL over the live TV HD channels issue... They sent out an engineer who changed the board still didn't work. Luckily i was still in the return window.... But i still haven't heard back from TCL or the repair place as the case was still open since Christmas.

If you are going to spend £1k on a TV get a better brand also something with longer warranty than 2 years. Im glad I retuned it and got a Sony.

This has been the regular price on Costco for the last month. It seems like a nice TV for the money.

Has anyone had a C805K for a while? Interested in how reliable they are (a few reviews report issues with start up etc) Looking at the 50 inch version, but tempted to spend a bit more on a Samsung QN90.
