Tomahawk steak is a glorious steak cut that is extremely tender and absolutely delicious. When properly cooked you experience a burst of buttery and rich mouth-watering flavours. The Tomahawk steak is French trimmed and aged for 14-28 days to lock in the rich flavours.

Our aged Tomahawk Steaks are a beautiful centrepiece, sharing steak.

I bought a Masterbuilt smoker/griller at xmas and have been trying it out with various meats from these guys and the quality is excellent especially love these tomahawk steaks.

Thanks for info was about to try them out. Any recommendations for ordering steak - sometimes Dobbies is good but you just never know what they are going to have in stock

I can't actually work out what this company's name is with Companies House, to find out how legit they are. Not a good sign.

Clearly posted by a member of staff.  Admin should probably ban these.

Tomahawk steaks are a scam.  It’s literally just a thick cut ribeye stuck to a bone.

Bought these from Costco, not sure what all the fuss is about, worked out the same price. They are OK, but stick with ribeye or a good marbled steak and save your money. Cold from me

Salt the night before, let it sit uncovered in the fridge on a wire rack to dry out, bring it out of the fridge plenty of time before cooking (an hour anyway), then reverse sear it (Google this if you're not familiar)

I tried this place when it was last on here:
1 - the sausages were low quality (72% pork IIRC)
2 - I bought 3 tomahawks. One of them was the worst smallest piece I have ever bought. The other 2 were fine and they all tasted fine.
3 - The bavette smelled and tasted a bit weird (not off, more chemically?)

They have a nice website etc, but I think the quality lags the appearance. At these prices I would still consider it though. (edited)

The picture has a lot left to be desired. The site that I've used numerous times to order meat has an offer on at the same price, and 2 for £35. meatandco.co.uk/pro…240 52391580-4IwEP.jpg

Much better quality steak to be had at Lidl, their dry aged is superb and a lot cheaper.
    14 day aged is a joke !

Another 'first ever deal' for the village butchers, following the last one a member of staff posted...

At least this time an effort to disguise the link has been made.

14 days aged is a bit miserable in this day and age. Also not clear if it's dry or wet aged. I used a similar sort of seller (Maplas Farm Shop), who were 28 days dry aged.

Isn't dry aged twice the price

There is very little marbling on that steak…

Tomahawk steaks complete waste of money.
Get a good rib eye or fillet

We bought one a few months ago as I was excited to try it.
Now I am not a cook, so I followed a recipe.
While I managed to get a great sear, the inside didn't turn out well at all.
So if you are looking to spend money on this, I would suggest make sure you know how to cook it.

A quick sear has to be followed by the cooking. Personally I prefer butter heavy frying pan all the way

tried one of these in january, wasnt the best if im honest but you cant expect much at that price.
    Weehamish's avatar
That's the wrong attitude... ofc you can expect something decent for this price

    Congrats on your first deal!

I would personally spend the money on buying ribeyes which is basically all this is plus the bone handle. It’s a marvellous looking thing though isn’t it.

Are these the steaks they serve in Salt Bae's restaurants that gets charged hundreds of pounds with some funny way of seasoning

I'm sure it's fine. This didn't hurt the cow.

I'd rather get something tastier and cheaper, like ribeye from Costco.
