Aldi frozen chicken breast is £4.50/kg so this doesn't look all that great a deal.

The frozen chicken has added water (82% chicken), whereas this doesn't.

Good price I got a few of these yesterday and made a curry first impression is it’s fine but with the rest of it I got 4 packs I will give it extra cooking time.

Bought some the other day and £ per Kg this was the best deal. Even on thigh fillets.

    Thighs are really expensive now

I use both, for Spanish chicken I would always use thighs along with chicken soup

Yes, bought some myself earlier today in my local store. Not many packs left though!

Great deal, under £5 per kg for chicken breast is very good.

I shop at Aldi regularly, but Aldi chicken and meat much worse quality than morrisons and Sainsbury's etc. You get what you pay for. Aldi prawns and fish on the other hand are excellent quality and value for money (edited)

agreed - they used to have renowned meat and quality. I bought mince beef/pork/lamb and it would go off before the use by date.

Also very greasy and smelly, even the 5% fat versions.

I use other supermarkets now. Not sainsburys because they also messed up their beef mince by vacuum packing it.

Another promotion that they clearly can't sustain.... Our local branches had them in on the first day and haven't had any in since.... store manager at one store said they keep deleting it from their order form....?

TBF every store I've been to have had them.
