About this deal

Was looking for a Bluetooth dongle so I can play music from my Linux Mint PC, and this one is recommended. Amazon had it for £9.99 and could get it delivered to a drop off point for free, even though i don't have prime.

if you're buying a bluetooth adaptor, at that point you're better off getting a wifi/bluetooth adaptor

I do have a wired "power plug" connection, but i might have considered this as it would provide a backup

The number of fake bluetooth 5 adapters out there is staggering. TP-link ones appear to be up to spec though. Heat!

BT 5.3, and even the most recent BT 5.4, can be had for a tenner pretty regularly. BT 5.0 is eight years old by this point, and the power draw, feature set, along with the timing of signals between devices, has changed significantly over those four point releases. BT speakers, for instance, are more likely to be out of sync, and game controllers will have greater lag.
