    I was looking at these type of stands a little while back and was initially concerned about weight distribution with such a small stand, so far away, with low centre of gravity.

    When reading into this type (tempered glass base) read some horror stories involving the base exploding and TV being destroyed.

    I've had a tempered glass hi fi shelves literally explode after moving it with a finger when it was on the floor .. .scared the life out of me!

    I certainly wouldn't be putting anything too expensive on something with a tempered glass base due to the horror stories. Great deal though. Tempted to pick one up for my son's cheapo TCL to free up some space in the room.
