    The amount of kettles I go through today :/ They're so poorly made now, even the expensive ones that end up being such a waste of money.

    No frills, nothing to go wrong. Manual lid, so no mechanism to fail. Flat heating plate so very easy to clean and always comes out as new after a sachet of oust. Going on 8 years now

    Made to look like it's part made from wood to appeal to the "greener consumer", and in the process uses more plastic (or a higher grade printed / wrapped finish) than a standard plastic kettle.

    I have this. For the money I’d recommend it. Boils fast and looks decent enough.

    Price also available in store, went to Asda living today and was showing this price at the front but where the kettles and toasters are it was the old price. Picked up from the back and priced as above.
