Got this last week and it's about as good as you will get for this money. The remote is pretty low quality but the rest looks and feels well made.

I can say for gaming the sound is great. Not really sure how to define punchy but ye it sounds good to me. The satellite speakers are ok and do the job but they could do with being a bit louder but I have them about 50-75 cm from my head so its fine. As for the sub I'm constantly having to turn it down for fear of upsetting the neighbours. I will say I would not get this if you are looking to use it to listen to a lot of music as when I tried it I was not impressed with the sound but I didnt mess with the volumes/bass/treble at all so maybe it could be improved.

I've just got these and set them up. Somehow not as punchy as my 180w bar and sub and the rears are buzzing which I don't know how to stop.

Not sure if they just need burning in?

Despite its name it seems to be DTS compatible too, so perfect for gamers/physical media fans.

This is ideal for occasional use or casual viewers. No point comparing it with systems quadruple the price. This is a bargain. Heat OP!

More than decent for this price. Shame it does not have Dolby Atmos, but it is expected at this price. I like it has wireless satellite speakers. I voted hot! (edited)

Don't get sucked into the dolby atmos hype, I have listened to many soundbars by this point and the conclusion I came to is unless they are ceiling mounted speakers they wont get even close to mimicking it.

Probably not great on lower end soundbars but the Sonos arc is supposed to be pretty good at the top channels. I haven’t got any personal experience with it though as it doesn’t really work for my setup

Probably a stupid question but I'm a noob with turntables. I got one for my birthday this week but know next to nothing about them. Looking for speakers for it but was also in the market for a soundbar for our TV/gaming, any chance this could work for both?

there might be some delay meaning its impossible to mix with - Get a pair of studio monitors for DJing with.
    Yamaha HS7 for example

That sucks, sounds like they have some quality control issues. Hope mine don't develop the same issue.

Do the LED light display on these turn off when watching a film? The only concern is this hissing thing from the rear speakers, has anyone identified the cause?

    Regards (edited)
  11. fashric10's avatar
Yes the LED turns off after a short amount of time, and I've had mine for over a year now and had no hissing from the rear speakers, but I have had random popping from the subwoofer on occasion when it's turned off. Also, I've found the rear speakers can have connection issues unless you turn them on first and then turn the main speaker on after. They do have a few annoying quirks as mentioned, but they do sound good for the money. (edited)
