The way coffee prices have hit the roof in the past 12 months I have had to switch to Aldi, and quite impressed with the taste. Tried Sainsbury's own brands but they were not this good or reasonably priced.

Yesterday Cranhill Glasgow had them , thought it Might be a one off

Went today to look for baklava in another store and noticed the one I went too had 200g ones marked at full price . Asked them to scan and sure enough scanned at 99p .

Throw away the coffee -99p is great value for a glass jar

and with a pop on sealed lid. These are far more expensive to buy empty. Cheaper to sell this coffee in a bag on eBay what you save on postage.

The Farm Foods Douwe Egberts is not quite as nice as the regular supermarket one, probably specifically made for FF/ slightly cheaper market but if you like it then 99p is a fantastic price!

That is stupid cheap. Sainsbury's £7 for 190g, Tesco around the same. I've seen it in Homebargains for £5.99 I think.

Glass jar is good afterwards as it's airtight and great for storing spices, sugar, and just about anything that benefits from an airtight seal.

That is very true if you stick to the brand name specials I got some Napolina 900g spaghetti for around 70p it’s lovely but anything branded Farmfoods is poor quality as is the fresh veg there.

if no-one buys at nine quid there should be loads available later... got to love how they put the price up by a huge margin and then place price locked stickers on it as if they are doing you a favour. This site does need a boycott section! (edited)

I'm still looking for Carte Noire or L'dor in the old jars. The jars/labelling have been changed since Douwe Egberts became involved. Hope the coffee recipe hasn't changed, it's our favourite. Cracking deal this IF it's in your local farmfoods

Thanks OP. Was only in there today getting the cheese bargain. There is so much stuff in their shop, unless you know before hand it is difficult to spot deals. Must have another look.
