Can regularly get these for £1, cold
All Starbucks Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2020
Yeah, not great. I didn’t like these at all. Drinkable, but not very nice.
I really wanted these to be good, but trying these and the caramel ones I just couldn't make one without lumps, no matter how much I stirred.
These don’t taste great. I don’t think they taste like Starbucks.
I'm using both now. I have 2 homes with the bean to cup in the main home and Nespresso machine in my other place. When I get back to the bean to cup it brings a smile to my face. I'm pleased you're happy with yours.
There really not tho. Coming from someone that has used both. First capsule then bean now I'm back on the amazon capsules and honestly there great value taste great providing use use 2 Per cup and imo can't be beat on price eg. 100 coffees for around £8 and no cleaning needed unlike a bean machine.
thanks, I'll give these Amazon ones a go. At just under 9p a capsule that's even cheaper than the Lidl/Aldi ones.
For what its worth I perfectly understood your comments.
The comments seem to have got mixed up here. My original comment was against some Amazon plastic capsules, not these from Starbucks.
Thanks, Op! Seems this deal is doing the rounds with supermarkets... It was Waitrose first, then Tesco's, and now Sainsburys (that I know of!). Not complaining, but perhaps £1 would be a more reasonable RRP! I'm fully stocked now, thanks! (highfive)
All Starbucks bottled / canned products are for £1 until Jul 28.
It is expensive, but cheaper than the real thing as the caramel one is delicious, much better quality than other brands of instant latte sachets, i will be stocking up on these at this price, thank you :)
Seems expensive for 5 sachets of instant coffee.
I've never seen Starbucks at £3 a box in the supermarkets. They don't tend to give much offers except on the dolce gusto branded ones.
Fair enough, never seen them below £4 (or on 3 for £10 at asda).
Dolce Gusto is definitely £3 every now and again ...although only 6 cups in the box for cappuccino and latte.
Nespresso maybe, but the dolce gusto are £4
There’s no better feeling than free money
Thanks will keep an eye on that (y)
I bought this Lavazza 12 pack recently, works out at around £2.80 a 250g bag just now, but often is around £30 or below. It’s finely ground for my Bialetti Moka pot, but works just as well in the filter machine. Recommended.
Received my order. well packed with packaged date of 27th May. BB till Jan 21. Tastes fine too (close enough to fresh brew, but not same).
Ha, I hear that. I bought some of this as more of a daily driver, and can recommend: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B081QQS73V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Price including delivery is almost twice. I was looking for cheaper options to reduce my coffee expenses #WFH problems
Well, those are manufactured by Arla, they just use starbucks branding. It would be worth checking where Arla gets its stuff from
Cold, can be made at Home for 20p in 5 mins including washing up. Imagine the carbon footprint of this evil thing from a company which does not pay any taxes. People have gone bonkers
Especially where the huge multinational corporations are concerned. A coffee from your high street cafe should be safe to drink. The big boys are only concerned about profit and shareholders. Starbucks was bailed out in 1987 by the Gates family and part of the rebuilding process was to bring in Monsanto. Personally I wouldn’t drink Starbucks if it was free. I don’t think any self respecting Italian would either!!
Oh dear.. Thank you for sharing this. The modern world is a minefield
Also the Veranda Blend is same price
Great deal, bought!
Picked them up for £15.11 on S&S - works out at 21p per pod. Ta op.
Thanks for the heads up! Might just do that.
Good price at 23.3p per pod. I always aim for under 25p.
Starbucks dont pay their fair share of taxes, and I dont buy their coffee. Simple.
Get them in a meal deal, really bloomin nice
Was about to say this, and Co-op is just down the road from us. My missus is after their ‘Latte’ (formerly Seattle Latte I think) ones in a paper-type cup but can’t find those at a reasonable price anywhere... £2 is a stretch. £1 is reasonable for lockdown treat imo.
They have been this price in the co-op for a week or so. They are delicious :-)
Seems to be the same price in co-op as well
I find them to be pretty good yes, have had to change the grind slightly from bag to bag but I usually make a long coffee, which uses double shot worth of beans, then top with steamed or frothed milk
Are these good for laates? Is it quite strong ?
I took a punt at this price, I am pleasantly surprised, especially good in a flat white/latte. Using a Delonghi B2C machine, it took a few cups to back off the grind a bit to remove the bitterness but once that was sorted I really like the taste and very fair price for 6 x 200g beans. Thanks OP
Actually one of my favourite coffees. It's a light coffee- sweet in flavour. Really suprised as I am not a fan of atarbucks. usually.
I've just received my order. I have to say, I agree with most comments.. if you're looking for good coffee then this isn't it
You can also buy another 3 (1 of each) and claim from ClickSnap :)
All morrisons are open until 10pm. 2 near us are empty from 8-10.
Is this 3 for a £1? Or £1 each? Sorry I'm abit confused
If you prefer a different blend
Order arrived and these pods are lush!! Have tried 4 out of the 8 in the last few days :) thanks OP!
I was aware which is why I said they are official Nespresso pods.
This has just reappeared on Checkout Smart even if you've claimed it previously
Just bear in mind that if the app shows a store, it doesn't necessarily mean they will carry it or have it in stock. I've been on numerous wild goose chases in the past. They supposedly have all these Sainsbury's deals in a little train station Sainsbury's but they only ever have 2 or 3 of each item. Once they've gone then that's it.
Recommend this and Shopimum app. Shopimum is instant refund once approved whereas this you need to have a minimum amount of £5 before they'll refund. Combine both though and you've got loads of freebies or discount stuff to try out when you're on your essential shop. Only issue can sometimes be offer is only available in selective stores and there's no guarantee of stock. Shopimum shows you which stores have had offers redeemed near you so there's a better chance of finding it.
It was hurting my eyes 👀 so I had to do something about it, lol! (embarrassed)
Thanks I'd done a screenshot of my app but the mods changed it to a blurred image!
And I thought I was the only weirdo who stores ground coffee in the fridge lol ;-)
At £15 a kilo, its hardly cheap anyway.
Your welcome (lol)
Thanks for reminding me of that.
There is a lot of money involved in the coffee industry (people even have training to be a Barista), there's a lot of money in the tea industry as well but that's another discussion.
These taste awful though :-( and water flows through really quickly as well as they seem to contain less coffee than the usual pods .
Has anyone had coffee withdrawal symptoms ? when you stop drinking coffee
That's great Archer - I can leave my S&S in place and forget about it. Job done, coffee never running out. Cheers
I've bought these multiple times from Amazon over past couple of years and always been £20.
£20 is cheapest price ever before S&S. Thats why it makes it hot deal
Cheers! Funny how there’s so many comments but no ones mentioned how to actually get the offer! Edit: Got a tall strawberry frappe today at lunch, didn't have to use the app, just told the friendly barista standing at the door what I wanted!
I was in my scrubs and just asked had my id just had to show it xx
What did you have to do? I have one near me but people have mentioned it’s app only and I have no idea how that works with NHS Discount?
Thanks got one on the way to my night shift made it a little brighter ! (unicorn)
Thanks OP (y)
My local Tesco was selling off a few packets of their own brand pods on Saturday for £1.38 each. Some strength 8 one. Bought one and it's not that bad to be honest. Not sure if they're those pods that leak coffee a bit as I've had a few granules in my machine and that's usually when a pod splits / crushes too much. Did like the strength 11 Starbucks one. Nespresso seem to have a few more varieties available again now. Fancy trying the vanilla and crème brulee ones. Suppose if you could get Amazon gift cards with a few % off, you could get them down to say £19 for 80 pods (5% discount).
The Costa ones are terrible both flavour and for reliability - I think I got maybe 6 out of 10 to brew anything other than warm brown water out of them. IIRC they are the plastic capsules with a bit of foil on both ends The Starbucks ones on the other hand are official licensed capsules made by Nespresso, not Nesspresso "compatible" like a lot of others. Get a good consistent coffee out of them in all the flavours I have used - this being my favourite so far.
I tried the Costa capsules a while back as they were on offer at £1.50 at Tesco and there was a £1 off coupon in their magazine. Very weak compared to the official Nespresso ones, but ok for 5p a cup. The L'Or ones aren't too bad. Might get a couple of the stronger Starbucks ones to try out as I'm down to my last 4-5 sleeves at present (drinking more coffee whilst at home)
Bought the Pikes Place for £18. Thanks
No takers for this slury! Lol
