    I had an old style Kona Lanai for about 12 years before it was stolen. It wasn't perfect but I still miss that bike. The updated version looks and sounds much nicer. Very tempted.

    I have a 2004 lana'i. Upgraded to SID fork, Xt drivetrain, DT Swiss wheels. Love it even if it's only got a XT V rim brake brake at the back. (edited)

    My first Kona bike was a Kona Lanai and frankly it was rubbish but that is going back to the 90s. It has a freewheel, terrible fork and the horrible cheap and nasty bottom bracket had a safety recall on as they fell apart after a while. I thought I got a bargain paying £140 at the time when the retail price was £300 but later realised the seller was very motivated to get rid of it as it was garbage. I think this is a Lanai bike although the way they have put a capital I at the end looks strange. However in all fairness this looks great compared to my old bike but still the overall components don't look amazing for the price. There is definitely a premium for the Kona badge here.

    🔥 Heat. I like this, I am a fan of Kona, lovely looking bike. Would definitely fit a set of hydraulic brakes though, £40ish on eBay, worthwhile upgrade and still comes in at a decent price. Good find OP!
