This or oppo find X5 pro?
    HellriderUKDeals69's avatar
Find X5 Pro is a flagship phone. The Poco is a budget option. You won't get the X5 Pro at this price.

I've got one. Bought the black one a few weeks ago. If I were to buy again I would definitely choose the blue one as it's a matte finish, the black one feels like cheap, glossy plastic. Good phone though.

Just setting mine up now, not sure why this is such a good deal? Is this the current price? I paid £255 a month ago.

I see no indication of this offer. On the home page it references f5 pro will have early bird price but doesn't say anything about f5

Might be time to sell my F2 pro and get this at £349.

Anything better out there for £349 or is this as good as it's getting?
    punjabputer's avatar
I have a f2 pro too and to be honest can't see me upgrading as it's still solid and going strong

not applying the £20 must be only usable on full price phones,

not even able to add £5 for using app,

still £379 before Mi Points deductions,

won't even let me use my birthday coupon even when it was £445,

Chat is useless, 3 times i contacted them each time they blew smoke up my backside, saying it works on all items,

even promised to email me after they have looked into why the coupon is greyed out,

they promised a 3 day response, still waiting 7 days later,

i am in no rush, unless it is below £300 i am not interested,

the best early bird i could get was £317 with Mi points,

looks like Xiaomi don't want to sell their stock of F5's ?.

Heads up. Speakers are horrible on this phone. With or without Dolby Atmos.
    little_green's avatar
seen lots of comments about the speakers on these, shame really
  14. Vertron's avatar
I got this phone for £260 on AliExpress. Great phone, the matte blue model looks good and feels nice in the hand. Only warning is the speakers don't sound very good if you want to use them for music listening, perfectly fine otherwise. (edited)

how long did it take to arrive from there? and could you share the link pls

I would buy this if it supported 4k60, my f2 pro which cost £275 many years ago supports 8k24.

Worth it over poco F3 pro and will it get more updates?
    morty's avatar
    Nope.

Updates will be supported for 2 years.

I never stick with official Miui which is a mess anyway.

Any opinions on This or xiaomi 11T pro 8gb 256gb at £349? (edited)
    howeva's avatar
Only two years of updates for 11T Pro.

Not holding my breath on this deal tbh. The £20 auto discount Xiaomi have had on the device for the past at least 2 weeks has today disappeared

I have Poco F3 and seriously tempted by this... can I ask opinions - is the jump to F5pro worth it?
  25. has070's avatar
I can't keep up! It feels like F4 was released a few months ago

Selling my brand new boxed F5 Pro 12/256 for not a lot higher than this price.
    Vertron's avatar
    Why you selling?
  28. shtivshtiv's avatar
My F3 works perfectly well. What does the F5 do that the F3 doesn't?
    dkj255's avatar
Get updates for a few extra years? Good as the F3 is, in less than a year POCO will have forgotten about it.
  29. Alex_Handley's avatar
I've got the F1. Any difference between the F5 and the F1?
    PS_Cool1121's avatar
Same here, still rocking the F1. Battery has gone a bit pants but still pretty fluid and responsive
  30. Vertron's avatar
Another possible negative I've noticed with this phone is the screen doesn't seem as bright in dark mode compared to my old phone, just dark mode, light mode is brighter.

For example in dark mode my old Mi 9t Pro is noticeably brighter but in light mode there's not much in it (Poco F5 is noticeably brighter with auto brightness on, in the sun and in light mode). I assume that is because the Poco 5 has a lower peak brightness compared to other phones? or maybe it's just software? (edited)
    Kenneth131's avatar
weird as the normal brightness of the 9t pro was about 450 nits maxing out at 620 in sunlight but the f5 is about 470 and 960 in sunlight all those

pixel density would be slightly higher on the mi 9t compared to f5 might be that along with some software calibration for the light sensor when in dark mode
  31. PhilK's avatar
Not showing, nor is the £10 for new account no, got the £10 but still no £20 (edited)
    superhans0113's avatar
you have to collect the new user £10 in the new user zone, only valid for 14 days.
  32. aks4ever's avatar
Ended up buying a precision screwdriver set and a ratchet screwdriver instead with my coupons as they didn't work on this phone good didn't buy anyway as many saying speakers are quite bad and the screen ain't all that....
    Kenneth131's avatar
People have been harsh on the speakers of this phone but not sure as it's supposed to be quite loud, which I know doesn't mean good, but should be okay.

It's the cameras for me, the 64mp main is passable the rest shouldn't exist and the front facing is terrible at bokeh, with the right software updates this could be amazing but being Poco I doubt it will arrive unfortunately meaning little things like making folders won't work without a third party launcher etc, just why 🤷‍♂️

What coupons did you have. I was thinking of using my points, converting to a coupon and using for a new phone as some point but do they only work on full price items now? (edited)
  33. hashim0786's avatar
Is this worth getting for £369???
    Vertron's avatar
If it wasn't for the rubbish speakers it would be. I paid £260 for mine about a month ago.
