this is my parkside strimmer purchased 2 to 3 years ago, it's now fitted with a thicker gauge red strimmer line. The strimmer came with 2 spools of clear line, I used one and was disappointed so replaced it with red it's much thicker gauge. The extra weight and strength performs so much better. I didn't bother with the spare clear line so remains unused. I paid £20 for it back then, everything has gone up in price.

Where did you get the red line? Are all spools universally compatible?

I got one last weekend, it's £29.99 but on offer of buy 1 get 1 half price so I got the 20v hedge shearer as well and paid £45 for both.

I was thinking of getting the 40v version but it was nearly 3 times the price. The 20v one is actually really decent. I used one 4ah battery to trim the garden and still showing 3 bars at the end. (edited)
