sorted by- works for me.
can also upgrade it to a 4 month family plan free once you have signed up - This is specific to you. I am offered a month…..cold from me.AuthorIt is not specific to me, it is in their press release(edited)
- How quickly can you cancel and still keep the 4 months?Straight away and keep the 4 months
- I've been given 6 months free of this but fundamentally disagree with amazons approach to music on the golf ball.
Prior to the changes you could play full albums of previous purchases, playlist etc. Now it's a mess. My favourites are interspersed with rubbish. Etc etc. I can't play music I want on demand anymore.
This is as amazon want to force us into their subscription system.
I have principles so won't validate their actions my accepting their freebie bribes.
If we all did this then amazon (and other companies) wouldn't get away with their dubious business practices (edited)I hadn't thought about this so thanks for raising. I have relaxed my stance on ordering from Amazon over the last few years but have recently cancelled their services and feel better about it - going to see how long I can go without buying something, not having prime for the entertainment elements means less chance of ordering.
I do have 4 months of free prime music however and hadn't really considered that it would be driving their behaviours. My logic was as long as I then don't pay for the service, that'll be their key benchmark? (edited) - Only 30d for me. Pain 🤧- heat though OPSame here. Waste of money anyway. You have same amount of songs already included in Prime. Only difference is 6 skips per hour and here it's unlimited.
I've got Deezer for a 12 months for 10 quid last time and added it to Prime and it's much better value for money. - Got the 4 months free and then was offered a free family plan for the 4 months.
- I get that screen when logged in but when I go to pay is says 30 days free.
- Good offer op, but only 1 month trial available to me. I think I had a free trial a couple of years ago so that is possibly whyThis will be around my 4th trial over the years
- Brilliant got family plan FREE to add additional 4 family members for 4 months, thanks OP
- Thanks. Signed up for 3 months free then there was an additional offer for a family plan 4 months free
- I had the same thank you very much
- Thanks OP, done it. I get Amazon thro my Voda subscription which is coming to an end 23-Aug. I'm guessing ultimate too will expire at that point, rather than the 4 months.
Not sure if that means I need to cancel the ultimate part or not - I only got the month but it's better than nothing. I cancelled straight away and it'll stop on the 21st July. Thanks OP
- I thought I was getting the deal but checked my account and been charged 8.99 and renews on 21st July at a charge of 8.99 trying to get refund 🤦🏼♂️
- Tried... Only offered 3 months half price

Here you go - I received this offer from Amazon by mail this morning.
Does Amazon have a hi-res tier? If so, I guess it's not included with this?I could be wrong but I think unlimited covers uhd. - Thanks OP. I got 4 months free and the Family Plan into the bargain.
- Cheers OP
Worked for me - another one for the 50% off for 3 months not interested but heat added for the people who do get this offer
- Has anyone managed to upgrade this to the family plan AFTER the trial has started? I missed the option at the time to upgrade it.I only had about 2 minutes to do it as a countdown starter commenced, vision decision and wet for it, what's isn't there to like about FREE?
- 4 months family plan for me. I've had Prime for years too. Heat.
- Anyone else get the 2 minute timer to allow you to UPGRADE FREE to the FAMILY ACCOUNT for 4 months as well?
Just to warn others be prepared as it is a time limited 'by minutes' offer that start to countdown immediately after you get the confirmation of the initial free trial. - Only given me a month but no worries!Lol me too but I'm not complaining since I just ran out of a month trial yesterday.
- I think the 4 months is only for those that have never tried it before, if you have had free trials maybe it deducts that off the 4 months?fairly sure I've had a free trial before, albeit a while ago, and I got the 4 months.
- I got this offer through the post for some reason. Not using it though... It's a 'we hope you'll forget' approach.. Not falling for that.
Again. You can cancel straight away in the settings and still get the 4 months. - I also had a letter through the post this morning regarding the same offer.
- Got this offer in the letter box today, in a form of tri-folded A6 brochure & QR. Thank you OP (edited)
- Hmm, seem to be offered 3 months. My apple Music expires next month so I'll wait till then. Good timings
- Woohoo it's nearly prime day where customers who spend a fortune get nothing and low spenders get showered with freebies and discounts.
- Tried Amazon for a few months wasn't impressed as when I played random tracks based upon what the algorithm thought I wanted to hear it played lots of covers of really popular old/new chart stuff. It was really frustrating, I assume it works out cheaper for them to stream covers?.
- Although it's a good deal I wouldn't recommend amazon music. Comparing it to Spotify it's terrible. Wait for Spotify deal and go for it, I'm on family plan and everyone is happy
- Thanks OP
- Got my free 4 month family plan 😁
Seemed to appear more consistently when I went though the Amazon music app for me. - Got 4 months free cheers
- Thanks
- I got offered a 3 months single plan but I don’t even have prime so worth checking if you don’t
- Worked for me too
- Both Curve and Lloyd's banking giving 20% cashback on amazon music unlimited subscriptions, can't be combined with other promotions though (edited)
