These companies are so clever, literally selling sprites as someone has mentioned before- my 6 yr old acts like a junkie when robux run low and the dopamine hit when he sees them replenished, these companies spend millions researching how to get children hooked on these things- the free items are not attractive, but somehow attracted to the ones that cost , madness

It’s terrifying. Gone are the days of buying a completed game. Micro transactions and DLC. Games like fortnite and Roblox are worse as these are actually free. They make their money of the aesthetic enhancements they sell. God knows how this generation is going to be affected by it.

At least with Fortnite the things you buy are purely cosmetic, and offer no competitive advantage in game. My kids and their mates think it’s bizarre that in a ‘default’ (as in totally standard outfit etc)
