Paid £80 for this in April, so good price. Decent bit of kit, easier to install than the wired version and recordings are stored on a plugged in hub in the house, unlike the mains wired one which stores recordings on the unit itself at the door. Battery lasts pretty well depending on activations and time of year, but so far so good. Worth a punt if you are looking for this type of kit. Detection can be variable, so don't expect perfect, or some misses and some false hits, but it's better than no camera/bell! Heat OP

Decent deal. Just remember to factor in the cost of an appropriate SD card (about £5 or £6), as it needs one to work.

Decent bit if kit. Paid about the same from Eufy's eBay Outlet site.
Mines been running for about 50 days and still showing 78% battery life. Mind you I only record on button presses as already have CCTV.
I do find the plugin Chime unit sometimes goes red indicating it's lost connection, but it still appears to function without issues!

I'm reading it doesnt record once you go into live view. You need to manually hit record.

    This or ring?
    jaykaykay's avatar
This, there is no ongoing subscription to pay. Ring is useless without the monthly subscription

    That's a fantastic price.

Apart from an sd card is this all i need?
    casasteve's avatar
Yes, just an SD card for it to store videos on. It is stand alone and just needs the app on your phone to configure things.

Bought this for my in-laws a few months ago and it's working well for them.

Does it need the eufy hub to work?
    casasteve's avatar
It is stand alone and just needs the app on your phone to configure things/manage it. No hub required. The Chime acts as the "hub", hence needing the SD card for storing video footage etc.

Bought this for my in-laws a few months ago and it's working well for them.

Got one of this. Only one I am not happy with it but a serious one you may hold back. Its often very laggy when sync from the phone.

Is there any reason to go for the 2K version for £95 over this, other than the improved picture quality? Thanks

I have this or maybe higher spec one, it's excellent IMO much better than Ring
