Interested, but would like to hear how good this really is. Used to have one of those Tefal kettles like this, but the water was never hot enough for my liking. Is this any better?

    Is 100c hot enough?

Not so concerned with 100C hot water... I'm more interested to hear what the rumpus room is and why I might store this there?!

I’ve been craving a glass of ambient water all day

A hot water output delay of 10s for the Philips vs a minute for the Breville. I doubt the Philips can do so without keeping some hot water in reserve (higher energy consumption overall, this is the traditional method for instant kettle) and/or have a much lower flow rate considering a 13A plug at 230V is limited to 3kW and the Breville is rated at 3kW already. These are great but they break down to easy. I cleaned mine regularly and it still went south.

Cold, needs at least 3 stage filtration plus reverse osmosis filter to take out heavy metals.

I needed one of these for my “rumpus room”

Looks awkward to refill if it’s situated under a kitchen cabinet.

You can’t fine tune amount dispensed, for example jumps from 250ml to 300ml.

Quick setting tea button sets amount to 250ml so you are out of luck if you like a bit more or less. (edited)
