Smart… except for the fact if it’s unplugged/theres a power cut it forgets all your settings - and you end up with a massive dose of ground coffee all over the place if you don’t notice!

This seems like a massive flaw. Is the firmware updatable in any way, so potenitally fixable?

Had one of these for a few years and can't fault it

Sage the Bambino. Got it for £200 last week. It's on an offer on here again for the same price (diff colour) - gets v good reviews

That's my setup these last few years. Mine are both silver though

Started with a pod machine, moved to a Delonghi bean to cup then to this.

I like having the expense split between grinder and machine rather than a combo setup. Cost a little bit more but worth it IMHO. (edited)

This is still really expensive and I'm 99.99% certain that this will be a good bit cheaper on Black Friday. Think closer to this £127 price that it was in April

Tempted by this to go with my new Bambino Plus (Cost 280 - would pay extra over the standard for the auto stem if anyone was considering, its good especially if youre lazy or making toast at the same time as coffee in the morning or something!) but was hoping for around 130 on BF..

I think this is their bf deal.

£80 for auto steam was just too much for me ha. I want to learn how to texture

Used the discount code to get it down to £152.96. Thank you!

Around six years with this grinder and still going strong. So easy to dial in the grind and amount when trying new beans. Well worth the buy.

Everyone I know has been happy with theirs so I'm in the minority, but I bought one of these and it lasted 1 month until it died out of nowhere. It turned itself on in the middle of the night and after switching it off/on it was cooked.

I got a full refund from Sage as this happened during their sale so stock had a month or so backlog They had good customer service but I did have to ring them 3 times to sort out my problem.

Had mine for two years and it’s great I paid £200 so this is a good price

does this actually grind small enough for proper espresso?
    simonhunter87's avatar

Yes. Lots of the pro barista champions recommend it as a entry to mid range model for espresso

Think ill bite if the black version goes to the same, my bambino plus is black, would look smarter (edited)

One of these has been my main grinder for a couple years now and it's "fine" (no pun intended) but depends what you use it for.

Never been happy with v60 filter brews out of it just produces too many fines. Aeropress is a little better as it's a little more forgiving, but it shines making moka pot coffee. Perfect.

Great machine. I paid around the same and use daily.

Isn't the grinder in the machine the same as the coffee grinder pro? Or very close

Just spend £199 on Baratza Encore ESP...
    Dacra's avatar
Wish you could grind straight into the portafilter with that, the extra step through the tub is putting me off..

Is it better to buy this and a bambino plus over an express impress?
    shortfry's avatar
the plus from my research. Shame they're oos currently or atleast no longer reduced

    Ordered with the discount code

Just for anyone considering this, Clumsy Goat have the Mignon Manuale reduced to 199, bit more than this but from reviews its possibly worth it.

Hukd won't let me post the deal as the seller don't have enough trust pilot reviews.

Ordered after getting the code from Kev's coffee blog got it down to around £152. Well worth it in my opinion, heat added 🏾.
