Not bad. Paid £72 on Aliexpress. Takes around 3 weeks for delivery, tho.

Just tried this now - still works for me.

If you buy this individually and (separately) the S340 camera (also on the blackfriday offer) it works cheaper than the homebase+s340 bundle by about £30 or something.

does it automatically recognise the cameras or do you have to pair them up again

Just wondering as my router is about 30m from my nearest camera (edited)

According to a YouTube video I watched yesterday, if moving from an old Homebase to this one, you have to re-pair which is a tad annoying, especially if you've got a few cameras. Ladder-tastic.

    What does the homebase offer/advantages?
Can you not just have the cameras with an app?

The homebase offers a few advantages.

One being centralised storage for all of your CCTV devices. But with the devices all having either built in shortage and/or expandable storage this isn't a big selling point.

It can also act as a chime for your doorbells etc.

The main selling point is that the Homebase has the BionicMind AI built into it, which provides each of the individual CCTV units with enhanced AI capabilities to reduce false detections.

I'm sorry, but what is this??

It’s the most updated base unit for the security cameras to connect to.
if you’ve never had one, you can add a drive for it to save footage. It has some extra functions like ai face recognition for the cameras.

Worth upgrading from the original Homebase 1?

    That's what I'm doing (think I've got V2, though?)

Got the solar outdoor camera last week and already have their doorbell so this homebase will allow for some very good AI (for example, it'll recognise you and therefore won't send a notification). Plus you can bung up to 16TB of a 2.5 SSD (purchased a 1TB version today).

Perfect timing. I bought the E340 doorbell cam and security floodlight from Costco deals the other day and was hoping they'd discount this for BF.

    Thanks.

It's still showing as £106 in the app for me.

I'm curious as to how this works. I currently have 4 solocams and would like this for the additonal storage and AI facilties, but my house is reasonably large (3 AP mesh required to cover it), and I need to know how it actually works.

I am assuming that the cameras remain connected to the wifi, and this connects to the wifi, and that is how they communicate wqith one another? Or does this thing broadcast its own network which the cameras then connect to? If the latter, range may be an issue. Can't really find a satisfactory explaination online. Does anybody already have one?

I bought this a few months ago at the same price.

Needs a wired connection somewhere on your network. Cameras send their footage to it. Can take a 2.5" HDD up to 16GB - I have a 2GB in mine.

The big benefit, when my cameras support it is that you can tell it friendly faces so it won't alert you to those.

    Well worth it IMHO

How do I get this please? I have the app but can't see any option to go to this page with discount. I tried to use HUKD mobile app but it takes me to general eufy website without discount.
