Thanks OP, not sure if I did it correctly because I wasn’t aware you couldn’t stack more than 3 years but i think it worked out ok in the end. I bought 3 years of core and entered it on the Microsoft website but the first redemption code asked if i wanted 1 month free for recurring billing. I chose yes. When i got to the last code it wouldn’t enter as that would put me over the 3year limit due to the free month .. so I converted core to ultimate so i could enter the remaining code, choosing 2 weeks for £1 deal then added the remaining core code. Cd keys give you 3monthly codes so 4 for every year purchased of core. I now have game pass ultimate for 2years and 1month legitimately with no vpns etc for £108.37 and then cancelled recurring billing.
Also 2.22% cashback effectively £106.
Still waiting for my Xbox to arrive. Hope i like it- Please be aware you need an expired account otherwise the conversion is terrible with 12 month codes,
you would need cheap 3 month codes on or 1 month codes on an active Ultimate account to get 51/52 days per code. (edited)
Do you know whether expired can include only just expired? 
I only really have gamepass to get Microsoft rewards points, well to maximise them with the weekly/monthly quests. Currently about to end a year's worth of GPU. If I get this core version, once my current sub is up, can I still do all the rewards quests?I don’t know the exact answer but I know some of the quests are linked to games on gamepass so if you do not have the game it would be no. And you would need gamepass.
Was hoping for a discount today like a further 10% but no luck so just went ahead and ordered for my daughters account for Xmas.
I bought 3 lots of 12 (36 month cap on core). Then I paid £1 on top for the trial to ultimate. This converted the whole lot, now subbed to 11/12/25.
2 years ultimate for £107 saving ~ £200.
Yes this is a well known method but just sharing as a first timer to do it, it was extremely simple and effective!

Stupid question, but if I have a few months of gold left on my account, then add 2 years of this one, then stack on a 1 month ultimate, will I get about 1.3 years of gamepass ultimate? Or should I only do this on a completely expired account? (edited)If you are still on Gold, well, it's now Core anyway. But if you add 2 of these and convert with Ultimate, that will be fine. People say wait if they already have Ultimate, as you don't have Ultimate, then you don't need to wait.
Hi, I need some help please guys…..am I right in saying that the maximum you can stack up to is 2 years?….if so then that would be just over £70….but I’m not use to this new core system as I haven’t done anything since my last 3 year gpu expired 6 months ago…..so please what is the cheapest way to convert this to ultimate and is the process any different?

My Ultimate sub is due to expire in less than a month - if I grab a couple of these codes now, wait for my sub to expire, can I apply them both to my account and them convert them to Ultimate at a 3:2 ratio? (So 16 months of Ultimate if I redeem 2 of these codes before converting?)
Yes, wait until your ultimate is fully expired, then redeem the codes, then apply a £1 Ultimate 1 Month trial code (if you can find one, if not just get the cheapest Ultimate 1 month you can find) to get the Conversion on the rest of your core at 2:3

If you have a lapsed subscription, there's plenty of Ultimate 1m codes going for about £1 odd a pop.
Would cost you around £14-£20 potentially for 12 months.
