Nice price this, part of the BA sale here - a couple of dates in February, and the biggest perk of choosing this hotel imo, is the no resort fees.

Flights are with BA, include luggage, and a 3nts stay in the 4* Hilton Hotel.

Example Dates:
  • 19th - 22nd Feb
  • 26th - 29th Feb

Hotel Overview

You’ll receive the hotel’s signature warm chocolate chip cookies when you check in at The Doubletree by Hilton Times Square West’s bustling lobby. At peak times, there may be a wait for the elevators which will take you to one of the 612 modest guest rooms spread across 35 floors. Once you’ve settled in, grab a drink at the hotel’s stunning rooftop bar and lounge or some all-American comfort food at the Tranzit Restaurant. No resort fees make this hotel the perfect choice for budget-conscious travellers looking for an affordable yet comfortable stay.

The Manhattan hotel sits within easy reach of New York City’s iconic landmarks. The Empire State Building, Macy’s, Hudson Yards, Bryant Park and other must-see attractions are all within walking distance. The hotel benefits from good transport links nearby, including the adjacent Port Authority Bus Terminal and 42nd street subway station where you can travel to Manhattan's best spots in just a few minutes. Take the E line to Jamaica station or the A line to Howard Beach to connect with the AirTrain to John F Kennedy International Airport.

Cosy, contemporary rooms feature one king-size bed or two double beds and come furnished with a 40-inch HD TV, a desk, complimentary Wi-Fi and a coffee machine. You can upgrade for a higher floor and prime city views. The hotel lies in one of the busiest areas of the city, so you may hear some traffic and pedestrian noise, but all rooms are kitted-out with blackout curtains to help you rest in the city that never sleeps.

Any way to book for solo traveller?

Yes, just do a new search, it comes up at £765 for a solo traveller

Don't forget to add 15% city tax on whatever the accomodation costs.

I've been to NY in February and had a great time. Was cold but dry and sunny.

Took a camp stove, bought a gas bottle on broadway (just off). Cooked meals usually pasta in the shower, saved £400 on ridiculous food spends in between the good stuff. £7 for a half bottle of milk. I’m HUKDer in New York!

    Fair play to you,

was there in july of this year (exact same hotel). 2 of us went for a week for £1500. it's ok but there aren't enough lifts (and 1 was broken for 6 of the 7 days) so lots of waiting in the lobby. the street it's on is a bit rough, with ppl openly using drugs on the floor. not the worst, not the best. but if you're mainly after a cheap place to stop off and won't be in the room much it's fine.

Agree with everything you said! Also stayed in July

Feb in NYC and BA what a combination ... Stuck in Snow at Airport in NYC and your luggage with you if your lucky.. Like the weather then this is cold....
    waynester21's avatar
Oh cold weather is the best. I've done New York 7 times and have 2 more trips booked. Much prefer cold December weather to humid July weather. It was -14°C when I went last Christmas. Very cold of course but I still had the best time and kept myself warm.

miniumum 7 nights needed for NYC

We did 5 nights a few years back and really enjoyed it. I thought that it was enough for one trip but it also left us with a good reason to go back and do the things that we didn't get around to

Better pay extra and go in spring April/May

I stayed at this hotel last month and it was fine. Great, central base for Times Square. Rooms were clean and staff were helpful. The amount of time you’ll be spending in your room as long as it’s got what you need that’s the main thing

We went last year in Feb and it was t shirt weather in central park with sun every day! Averaged 18°

    Super hot deal

5 nights minimum and this might be a good deal.

What would you do for 5 nights?

Great price for NYC trip, however, a warning...

We did this package with BA Holidays last month and this hotel is truly awful. It's definitely worth paying a few hundred more for a better hotel.

The hotel is far too busy, overpriced, rooms in need of serious renovation and we didn't sleep properly for 3 nights because of the noise and a 3am fire alarm requiring evacuation down 35 floors of stairs.

As I say, good price, but pay more for a better hotel or you'll have the same regrets we did!
  13. liamwood921's avatar
This is a terrible deal, 3 nights for £529pp is not cheap or enough in NYC.

Hotel does not get great reviews for a Doubletree.

You are never in the hotel. Only to shower and get your head down.

Less than £300 more each to go for a week!
    Rmcstar's avatar

Yes, and I think there are other hotel options for £700pp odd for 1 week (might not include resorts fees though). Regardless, this one isn't bad at just over £800pp

Don't forget to budget for the resort/accommodation fees. Tip culture is a big thing over there.
    Rmcstar's avatar

Good call re tipping (and other stuff can be quite costly over there).

No resort fees at this hotel though, which is a plus

Also, might be worth noting, for those who may have to follow Feb Half Term dates (in my area it's the 10th to the 18th) - there are a few options starting for £599pp for 3nts on the 12th - which might also be good for valentines day
  23. Brryqnln's avatar
Very very cold in Feb, -35 with windchill when we went.
  24. Kiykay's avatar
This hotel is a disaster. But also, it's not worth going only for 3 nights.
  25. dh2k's avatar
$50 per night for damage fees. Refundable after you leave but still a fee worth mentioning whilst there.
    -24-'s avatar
Most hotels have an incidental charge. It's the resort fee/destination fee charges they've started adding which is non refundable and quite worrying.

Went to doubletree in NYC just before covid struck, absolute worst experience of my travelling life, staff were awful, manager was rude, room was a bombsite and they refused to move us, and we had to sit around for ages for them to sort stuff. (electrics of shower not covered up / etc)

They will also take around $200 a night deposit off you in case you damage the room, so be prepared for that when booking so you have enough money for the trip.

We got a partial refund as hilton head office were in agreement and said the hotel was basically out of line.

Do yourselves a favour and book literally any other brand of hotel if going, a hostel would be a better experience. (and I've stayed in a lot of hostels)

    Will be freezing! 🥶
    Smoggy1970's avatar
    Even better!
  32. dh2k's avatar
Would there be any additional fees to this like taxes? Or is the price you see here everything included?
  33. gt1915's avatar
You will see a bit but 3 nights is a very minimal amount of time, you definitely need 5, it's an expensive city and the exchange rate is not so great but I loved NY when I went and want to return.
  34. AceDeck's avatar
For those that have Complete Savings, you can get 10% cashback.
  35. rprp's avatar
The rooms in the Doubletree are tiny. There's only just enough room to walk around the bed, and that's before you bring your suitcase in.
  36. dh2k's avatar
What hotels are good then if people don’t recommend this one? Far too many saying it’s good and others saying stay away.
