I'm not sure how this is possible, but I got better signal with 1p than I do with being with EE directly 🤦🏽

Take a note of the bands supported by 1p mobile and compare with bands with ee provide. If 1p mobile has any different ones. Take a note of them. These are the ones you are getting better network and should you want to change or try a different network, then all you need to check is if they support these bands.

Spent the last few days trying to decide whether to go for this or EE's own offer of 20Gb for £8 on a 2 year contract but will have guaranteed April price rises, 1p don't seem to say what their policy on increases is.

This has free roaming and even more data I'll never use, the EE one is the real deal and has the Apple freebies, obviously both use the full EE network.

In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to not take up this offer Vs EE 2yr contract with rises, despite £2/month cheaper. I switched from EE last week and also noticed an improvement in reception. Maybe a placebo effect but the reception bar always looks a bit healthier. The feeling of not being tied into a contract is nice, especially if an even better deal was to come by.

Not a deal. Just their standard price.
    lucyferror's avatar
Yes it is a deal as it's cheaper and easier than contract for some people and also some people had no idea that you can get good cheap sim card for 10 a month.

If you’re using monthly boosts and have no credit loaded they wouldn’t be able to spend more than the allowance. Just make sure any form of auto top up for credit is off (I think the default is off).

Its been this price for months, i got it last week. Im not using it yet until they port my number over. First available date for that is next Thursday.

Yes, but still on offer and hence the post

Cannot fault these whatsoever. Full Internet speeds and full WiFi calling where you can actually change the setting in your device to prefer WiFi or Cellular.
Both myself and my partner have a sim with these and are very happy.

I like them, but you should be aware if you are going abroad you have to preloaded your account with money. Roaming in the EU is included but nothing will work without pre loaded credit. If you don't use the the credit it stays on your account and future £10 payments get made against it.
    anouj's avatar
    I didn't have this issue.

does anyone not do any sim cards without the option of pre loading credit? I need a sim as a extra number but dont want to add credit to it. but when ive perused a few of the providers, they all require adding a bundle on the payg side.

o2 Classic for about 20p from eBay doesn't require top up. (edited)

Are speed same as EE? And am i able to use mobile data whilst on a call ?
    t3r4's avatar
    Yes and yes
  10. blonk's avatar
Please note if you port in at all, then subsequent port ins aren't as straightforward.
    The online option gets removed

What am I missing? This is 25GB data for £10/month. For that money, ID mobile give 120GB.

    A signal

The title is misleading. Is not 1p for 25gb. It is £10 per month. One you go over the allowance 25gb then it is 1p but who does. 51816330-lnd22.jpg
    charlie12's avatar
The title includes the name of the provider which is allowed, along with the monthly cost. If you think the name of the provider is misleading then take it up with the provider.

Changed from EE to 1p mobile a few months ago and can't tell the difference except in my bank balance.
  14. chrb's avatar
I have switched to this and find it excellent, no speed restrictions and WiFi calling
    m1tch3m's avatar
Does it support VoLTE as well?

1p doesn't offer London underground WiFi and don't supply eSIM.
    surreyspireite's avatar
As someone who works in London and tubes a lot I'd hardly say the lack of underground wifi is a deal breaker. eSIM? Well, again - very few people I know use one, even knowing they exist.

    <rant>
If someone can't survive underground without wifi/social media, then they need to re-evaluate their lifestyle. </rant>

Have they got stock now if the sim cards? Ordered this a few weeks ago to be told no cards available and would have to wait so I cancelled the order.
    Outcasst's avatar
I ordered my SIM yesterday and it came today. Was pleasantly suprised!

Been on 1p for months. Cannot fault it whatsoever! Great signal ,fast speeds

I'm on this deal and very happy. Works better on my old phone than Lebara did (that used to lose data connection, needing a reboot to fix)
  19. Shad_M's avatar
Excellent network. No issues since I moved to them from O2. Great signal in London
  20. Tamt888's avatar
Switched from (shockingly bad signal) o2 a few months ago, pleased so far - London signal is much better, eu roaming has worked fine. Only pain points so far are no dedicated bolt on for US roaming or call forwarding (for Hullomail)
  21. chrisshein's avatar
I wonder why EE are still allowing these smaller companies to out price them and offer extras like eu roaming?
  22. Gohan123's avatar
    Standard price
  23. BarryJohnDavies's avatar
Why is it called 10 mobile?
    If it costs a tenner?
    wilburscoville9191's avatar
You nearly nailed it! Anyway, it's called 1p Mobile because as pay as you go option each message, call minute & 1mb data cost only 1p.
  24. Stellar_Age's avatar
Nice deal but EE signal in my area is very bad same as Vodafone lol

That can't be good for business

Spusu is very similar in terms of offering, switched to them a few weeks ago, they have 30gb for £9.90 but I think only 20gb at the moment, not that it makes much difference as I typically use less than 2gb
    Gohan123's avatar
Its 30Gb for £9.90 just checked 5gb more than 1p mobile......cheaper than 1p with roaming included.
