Hey Guys

My first post here. I have been looking at the Sage Bambino Plus for a while now, it has usually been RRP of £399 and even in BF sales didn't drop too much.

I managed to find this deal on the Sage website for £329.95.
However, if you sign up to the blog/newsletter at Coffeeblog.co.uk you get a further discount of £49.95 (at least that is what I got!) bringing the total price to just £280, which I think is a cracking deal.
I used this code in case it works for you, or it might be a unique one for each email address when you register for the newsletter.
The code usually comes in an hour or so

Here is a code which may work: coffeebloguk-MEmSSGLJFo

Sage Discount Code
If you're in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland (and most other European countries) and you're thinking of buying any Sage coffee machine or grinder (or any other product from Sage Appliances) I have an active discount code that works so you might want to drop me an email. Click here to join my “Brew Time” mailing list, and then email me (kev@coffeeblog.co.uk).
Enjoy!

Guys - I'm having some sort of coffee meltdown

currently have a Nespresso Essenza mini - works well enough, small, easy to use and I use biodegradable pods from Caravan/Grind. I normally drink lattes with oat milk - at most one a day when at home. I've been a bit let down with the consistency of late so looking at an upgrade.

Considering the Lavazza Desea pod machine as that has the frother built in ...

OR looking at a jump up with a Sage Bambino (normal or plus version)

BUT I'm worried if the setup is too much for me - e.g. time to skill up in frothing milk (I hear oat milk is not as easy to heat up with the wand), effort to clean, additional tools and expense - e.g. do I need a proper tamper, do you need to have a separate grinder with a Bambino etc

Anyone out there with one of these machines using it for a daily cup of Joe with a simple / consistent workflow and without too much additional costs on top? (edited)

I have the Sage Bambino Plus and use Oat Milk - it has an automatic milk frother which works like a dream (for Coffee and of course hot chocolates too!). I'm sure coffee purists will argue otherwise that you are still better off manually texturing (and they are no doubt right) but you sound a lot like me and for what I want and need the automated milk frother works like a dream to heat and froth the milk to a perfect level for me - it does have the option to manually froth if you so wish to though. The machine has 3 pre-dialled settings for both froth and temperature so you can fine tune for your needs anyway.

The Plus also comes with pressurised and non-pressurised baskets so it is a gateway machine to the higher end of coffee if you want to enter it, but also remains very simple and quick to use if you'd rather stick to basics. I can't recommend it highly enough; for me the automated milk and inclusion of both baskets is enough for me to pay the extra for the Plus. It also makes coffee in a matter of minutes as opposed to other machines taking their merry time to heat up and brew! In terms of taste and quality it blows cheaper machines out of the water and is a lot of quality for the cost when you consider other similar spec machines.

To answer your other questions - the plus comes with a tamper which is of decent quality and all equipment you require to make a decent brew. I do not currently possess a grinder myself and instead just buy espresso ground beans from reputable online sellers (Redber being my personal favourite, or Strangers).

I use mine multiple times daily and it costs me no more to run than my previous low quality/cheap coffee machine. One of the best purchases I've made in recent times hands down.

Anyone know what the delivery times are like? I don’t need before Xmas but wondering if I’d get next week if I ordered today

Also …. Can’t decide on colour! Any more photos of the black stainless steel version would be appreciated …

    This colour is OOS

Had mine 2 years plus now partnered with their grinder. I got a good deal on mine paid £450 for both. Makes a lovely coffee 🤪

I usually let it froth the milk automatically which it does well. Not sure how important but I descale every 3 months and use the water filter.

You can get both the regular Bambino (NOT the Bambino Plus!!!) and the Precision Grinder as a bundle from Sage for £339 (i.e. £399 less the 15% discount code from Kev) .... if that's of any help to anyone.
  4. TygerTyger's avatar
Kev runs coffeeblog.co.uk ... a fantastic resource for all things coffee ... he has some great YouTube vids also.

Simply sign up for free coffeeblog.co.uk/joi…me/ and you can get a unique code from him.

Damn....seems I have fallen down the Espresso rabbit hole (I watched too many YT reviews.)

After ordering the Bambino Plus (and Smart Grinder Pro), I just felt that I will likely regret not going "all in" and just getting the Sage Dual Boiler. So I just changed my Bambino Plus order for the Dual Boiler.

My general experience in life is I end up buying twice whenever I try and save money, so I decided to just go for the better machine now
    Sedat's avatar
Well done 👏👏 which grinder did you get?
  6. LotusJas's avatar
Just got the black Bambino Plus machine for £255

Also ordered the Smart Grinder Pro, for £178

    So £433 all in.

All you need to do is send an email to kev@coffeeblog.co.uk with 'Sage discount code' in the title. I got a response in 4 minutes with a 15% off code (so likely automated)

It better be good, as expensive as some bean to cup (edited)
    asl9791's avatar
And bean to cup machines are expensive because of the mechanisms. Not because their coffee is good. No comparison.
  9. gogs98's avatar
Great first deal, thanks. I've been after this for a while, just waiting on my discount code. Although I want the stainless steel to match my other Sage appliances, the 2 black versions are £30 cheaper at £299.
  10. Abdulrahman_AlKatheeri's avatar
I've been waiting for so long! Was about to pick one second hand. I got the black version (cheaper) and used Kev's discount code for a total of £254
    thomasr690's avatar
Who's Kev and how do I get his code?!
  11. SirSpanky's avatar
Looks like the regular Bambino in blue is only £230, which is an absolutely steal too with one of Kev's vouchers
  12. hikodannasan's avatar
Code in OP doesn't work and there is no where on that website that makes it clear how you sign up to their newletter. What am I missing here?

EDIT: OK, adblocker blocking a pop up, you can sign up on this page: coffeeblog.co.uk/bes…ls/ (edited)

£41 off with this code if anyone is struggling getting another to work
    HSDSAGE15-LxdhKYxDvg

Chuffed with mine. Picked up an open box one for £245.99 the other week
  14. umaradam's avatar
255 for the black. I've been waiting patiently for this to drop!
  15. TheDuke1970's avatar
The duo temp pro is also on offer with £100 off plus the Kev code makes it only £255, I got one a couple of months back, so much better than my bean to cup machine
  16. C0mbat's avatar
It's a shame that they're not selling the sea salt white anymore.
    TygerTyger's avatar
yep - that one looks amazing - is it a stock issue or they have dropped it entirely?

I'm gonna have to consider the silver s/steel one or perhaps the black s/steel
  17. kikiki's avatar
Also to note this potentially stacks with 3.4% from topcashback. (edited)
  18. Sedat's avatar
TCB tracks 8% I ordered the pro grinder as well. Thanks OP
    TygerTyger's avatar
Oh how come?! Is there a special uplift on Sage today?
  19. Dacra's avatar
I got the Manuale for 199 on black Friday, can't fault it.
  20. Black_Americano's avatar
    Great find OP.

Would the Bambino Plus be a big jump up in quality vs a Nespresso machine? Been rocking the Nespresso for approx 5 years.

Also, I’m looking to cut down on the habitual coffee shop run EVERY day (Monzo spending insights was an eye opener!). If something like the Bambino can deliver similar or better espresso….
    muny321's avatar
Massive jump! Personally I don't consider Nespresso as coffee

The Bambino plus will deffo give you shop quality coffee
  21. andymdun's avatar
Awesome machine if you have or want a good separate grinder.
    ureds's avatar
    How about if you don't?
  22. Dacra's avatar
Good deal, about teh same I paid from Very a few months ago, got the black version.

Got a Mignon Manuale to go with it for 199.

Wow, black version for 299 minus 15pct is amazing. (edited)
    speedle's avatar
Where'd you get your Manuale for 199? I picked up a Bambino a couple of weeks ago and hoping I can get a good deal on a decent grinder over Christmas.
  23. chris.beck's avatar
That code is great - I've picked up the Bambino bundle for £340 (code was good for £60 off). Kev sent it through straight away. (edited)
    thomasr690's avatar
Who's Kev and how do I get his code?!

Welcome to HukD's, congratulations on your 1st deal
  25. SamJee's avatar
Finally been waiting for a deal on one of these. Went with the black stainless steel and used a code from Kev as others mentioned to bring it down to £255 delivered 🔥
  26. caldelaway's avatar
Good deal this, purchased mine back in Feb 2020 with the sage grinder, both have been faultless, average use 1-2 times a day, although I do descale and clean mine and change the water filer when the cycle is due.
Before purchasing this an espresso machine would probably last me until just out of warranty,

Anyone know if Kev's discount code stacks with BLC?
    C0mbat's avatar
I would assume so. It always has before.
  28. wom.wheatley's avatar
Is anyone else having an issue with their order coming through for this. Code bring it down to £280 but when putting in my card details I just keep getting an error message saying "Try another card payment unsuccessful". Have tried different card, tried without discount code and also different address with both my Dad and girlfriend getting the same issue. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
    44x's avatar
    Same thing happened to me
  29. durrant27's avatar
Great deal. I got the Plus in black for £255 with the code.

It failed the first time so tried with another card and it worked.
  30. adriangriggs's avatar
    Code no worky
  31. muny321's avatar
Anyone been able to stack codes? Get BLC through my mum's work so would be great to use that as well!
  32. vincento_1's avatar
You can just sign up at sage directly and you can a 10% off code in the welcome email. Quidco 3 2%
  33. vincento_1's avatar
    Heat added.
    Went for the blue bambino.
  34. Sedat's avatar
Ordered one! Thanks OP. By the way, TCB tracks at 8%
    44x's avatar
Darn it. I completely forgot about TCB. I went through the BA avios store

  36. porkpiepanda's avatar
Thanks OP, been watching this since missing the leaked code back in April, Christmas present to myself sorted!

I've been drinking filter for the last few years so hoping my Wilfa Uniform grinder will pair ok with this...

As someone else posted, I think the coffeeblog discount is automated as got mine immediately after emailing.
  37. Mazorka's avatar
I am seriously considering buying the Duo-Temp™ Pro instead of the Bombino. Happy to work manually - it's more fun than pressing a button, in my opinion. Any thoughts/recommendations?
    Dacra's avatar
Aren't they equally manual? Can't see any reason to buy the duo over the plus.
