It doesnt chop as good as it does after few months of use and hard to clean the top part

Rubbish. Been using for 5 years now. Still as good as new. The top part you just hold under the tap. It's all sealed.... couldn't be easier lol

This is a solution looking for a problem, we had one similar and the time you save in chopping is spent cleaning the bloody thing!

A solution for people with arthritis, motor-skills based disabilities, or people who don’t like chopping

I can't stand and dice things (I have a back injury that makes standing up and doing things immensely painful) - I picked up the OXO manual chopper (non-electric) and it's worth its weight in absolute gold, brilliant bit of kit. Much easier to clean than some too, TBH I'd rather have that than an electric even in my state.

I just used it tonight - that plus the instant pot, made a beef and veggie stew with barley, came out remarkably (I'm a horrific cook most of the time). 10-12 chops of this and things come out really finely diced for soups, like a commercially made soup; consistent and just right, an hour's pressure cooking and it was brilliant. Cleaning is a big problem for me (leaning forward is horribly painful) but this is quite easy to do; again I can't comment on the electric one listed here but the OXO one is immersible as it has no electronics and cleaning is genuinely very simple and fast. Use is simple and I can cope with doing that even in my condition.

I’ve got a couple of these still brand new in the box after I ordered one and they sent me four

    Really should eBay them…

You should do the decent thing, and contact the company and ask if they would like them returned back.

Why so hot for something you can’t order…. (edited)

Because you can still order it? Lol...

This is only £5 cheaper than usual. Why so hot?
    modilwar's avatar
Which makes it just under 17% cheaper than RRP I guess.

Wonder if this is coming up with the red 'We can't deliver to your selected location' bug / error. Works for me (Scottish / UK Mainland address).51879559-rbhLi.jpg

Can this be used as a blender - e.g. to make smoothies?

    No

These are great. Don't blend but chop finely, exactly as it should

Has anyone tried using this for chopping cinnamon into powder?
    yuri9's avatar
Not sure about this one but I tried doing so in a similar machine and the jar cracked I think its best to use a food grinder.

I have the Ninja Blender - is this still worth getting?
    great-deals's avatar
Yes (or perhaps it's a no...)
  19. NorthOsiris's avatar
Anyone know if this would be good for chopping/shredding chicken for meal prep?
  20. Fulhamboy's avatar
I am sure the ladies will agree that is cheap for a half decent chopper...

Shark are really milking the Ninja brand aren't they. They're going to start selling a Ninja dairy cow soon
    louiselouise's avatar
They were called Shark-Ninja in the infomercial days, don't know why they changed it (too much of a mouthful, maybe).
