They look identical to what would be sent to McDonald's to put in there mcflurys.
Guessing it's excess stock that has been made and would go out of date before there used again
    plebbygiraffe's avatar
Yes, they're what go in McFlurrys - though, they're not made specifically for McFlurrys, they sell these through catering services.

Is this for us humans or for feeding animals?

BTW you’re Indian like me? (edited)

Are these like broken Wispas or a big bag of Wispa Bites?

Bites always seem a bit plasticy (edited)
    D3LL80Y's avatar
They are small pieces like for ice cream topping

Just go to reception in Mars (Slough) and they'll give you a bag of "remnants" if you ask politely.
    ezzer72's avatar
Do they buy these in from Cadbury's, just to give them away?

Honestly, some of the BS spouted on here.

For anyone wondering, this is of stock from when McDonald’s sold the Whispa McFlurry as part of their summer food promotion.
    jdbigguy's avatar
Where did you find that info?

Saw some in my local farmfoods this morning they look disgusting and inedible.

I am not a big chocolate eater by any means but they are really tasty

Im glad I only bought a couple of bags as they are super addictive

the're meant to be added to desserts like ice-cream or yogurt - can also be added to morning cereals

its just the packaging that has put you off (edited)

Great timing. For a second I was in danger of only putting on two stone this Christmas.

Double edged sword this hukd, still trying to get through the bloody catering flakes and now I’ll probably buy this
    Ragdoll_Pigeon's avatar
How have you not finished the flakes? I've done 3 boxes since that deal went up!!!
  15. northeastkev's avatar
Surely if the pieces are 500g as shown in the photo this must be a VERY heavy bag?!
  16. beaufinder1's avatar
Is this for gods or humans
    Muscle.And.Hate's avatar
    Definitely Gods

Got one today. The danger is not knowing when to stop. Will have to pop to home bargains to check for Appleby & son

I saw these in the Dagenham branch, but there is no Wispa label on them. At first I had no idea they were WISPA as the tiny black font is on a semi-opaque dark blue bag with dark brown contents and is clearly not designed to be sold to anyone with a visual impairment. Naturally Farmfoods had failed to put a price label on display.
    rmarck's avatar
Found similar ones in Sunbury. No labels.
    Thanks OP.

    Shhhhhhh...
  24. Father-Jemima-Racktool's avatar
Why are these not in my local?
  25. timboslicey's avatar
No way you get that home without it melting to one amalgamous body.
    Moss.b's avatar
I think it won't melt easily like the flakes that are made for ice cream vans. Because they are made for topping.

My grandmother used to work at Cadburys in Bourneville, recall the smell of chocolate in the air and visits to the staff shop where amongst many super cheap misshapen delights were crunchies WITHOUT THE CHOCOLATE!!
