I can only comment on Toshiba as a company. Only a couple of weeks ago the panel failed on my Toshiba TV, only a couple of months out of warranty. Only used in the bedroom. They admitted it was a faulty panel but washed their hands of any responsibility. Won't buy from them again. Samsung all the way.

Anyone have any experience with these, can't really rely on argos reviews.
Comments like really nice picture etc just don't cut it for me.

I don't know if this is any better but my local Asda had Sharp 50FL1KA in for £289

I would recommend avoiding Toshiba like the plague. I bought a cheap Toshiba telly from tesco a few years ago. It had average picture quality, rubbish sound and a clunky and slow interface and in the end lasted just over a year before packing up. I had a right battle to get Tesco to refund - in the end I a 65% refund. I now have a Hisense from Richer Sounds which is in every way a far better tv and comes with their 5 year warranty.

Bit harsh to write them off after 1 bad experience. I bought my dad a Samsung and that one failed after 5 years which I still don't think is that great. He's got a Toshiba now and it was much cheaper and still going strong after 3 years

Love how we're in a cost of living crisis but everyone's talking about "oooh gd TV for dining room, kitchen, bedroom, shed, pantry." People can't be doing that bad

Amazing deal for a 50” QLED. I don’t know anything about this set in particular but QLED are supposed to produce the best colours. The OS on a fire stick is great too so guessing this will be just as good 🔥🔥🔥

I don't have one, but I know previous fire TV's struggled with slow operating system and got very laggy.. also motion was poor.. however this looks like it's the new model... Micro dimming/ qled and tru flow (although who knows if that's any good) I would say very decent TV for the price... I need one for the dining room although the Mrs doesn't want one in there... I believe the saying is better to ask for forgiveness than permission... Sorry love... No returns aloud 🤥

This seems to be very similar with android.
    2/5 stars
Key thing is a poor picture...

Although it is very cheap so what can you expect...

Personally, I don't think any of the modern TV's have a poor picture any more. Some not as good as others for sure but even the ultra budget TV's picture is at least half decent. Most people are happy with a decent picture at a good price.

Been an ongoing issue with these toshiba smart TVs .
I had two 58” TVs and both failed within weeks of each other. The screens went in them. One just over a year old and the other under 2 years. One from Tesco and 2nd from AO.
The second one I complained about and got an independent report done on it . The person who did the report said he’d done multiple on the same tv. AO refunded a considerable amount taking into consideration I had used it for 12 months.
Toshiba were shocking ! Even though online there were dozens of reports of the same problem. Wouldn’t touch another toshiba.
Paid double and bought Samsung with 5 year warranty!
It hasn’t frozen once at all since I’ve got it either.

1411 kg? Almost 1 and a half tonnes. Maybe best not wall mounting this then.

I haven’t saw a TV this solid since my old sharp 32 inch crt. It was completely theft proof.

I bought this from Amazon on Black Friday last year. So far no issues. Perfect as a 2nd TV, all Amazon smart functionality works fine.

One small thing to note, it struggled to connect on 5Ghz WiFi, but connected fine on 2.4Ghz.

if you want quality oled stick with lg the colours and blacks are pristine but if you want a bedroom tv then why not, must admit my bedroom tv is first gen sony 4k android and boy is it laggy ... but worth a punt ..

Had the FHD version of this. Screen died exactly one year in. Would suggest going for another brand.

Better than Hisense of similar price?
