    I subscribed on this last time there was a similar offer, I think ~3 years ago. Never got my controller and in order to unsubscribe after 6 months I had to block the direct debit from my bank because they were still charging me even after I unsubscribed from the website.

    Yes, BUT....I know some people just cancel the Direct Debit and sometimes that's enough, however a friend of mine did that and got stung for a bill for back payments going back 6 months when they continued to send the mag. His fault really as they do tell you that you have to contact them. So just do what I did and phone them to cancel. It was quick and easy last time I subscribed with them. Great Mag actually.     That's cause it's limited supply, probably the first 100 to subscribe though I don't know the exact amount as I can't find this information anywhere

    Is it really a free controller, when you need to pay for the subscription? The answer will always be no - even though you claim that "the price for the subscription itself" is usually the same. I guess it isn't now, as there is a bundle. It doesn't make the controller free though, even though you "feel" it is free. Just as Xbox Game Pass does not give you access to hundreds of "free games". I really wish that more people would understand.

    I don’t think anyone is under the illusion this is free. You’re paying £11.59 for the controller and the magazines are a bonus which most probably don’t even care about. (edited)

    The problem is wireless controllers are trash, they're masked today because people have such poor displays, but for us people that do research on what we buy...... Wired is the only way to go. I wish it wasn't the case as it's annoying having a wire attached, but with current tech the latency and stability will never be good enough.
