I never understand why Insomnia - imo his second-best movie after Memento - never seems to be made available in these sort of bundles.

Because it’s not on Apple TV or in 4K and doesn’t have the same distributor (the latter being the main reason)

Has anyone had any experiencing comparing apple 4k streams to 4k bluray disks? I always found apple tv + 4k very high quality. Not sure i could tell the difference!

Just realised that my panasonic oled apple tv + app doesn't give you access to the apple store! Apparently i would need a apple tv 4k or PS5 to play these films in 4k! Il stick with the pricy 4k blurays for now! Such a shame. (edited)

There’s a few on YouTube which show most films are indistinguishable in picture quality unless the Apple version uses an inferior transfer which rarely happens, but sound quality can be worse if you’re using top end equipment as sound is compressed more, though on the average sound system you’d still be hard pressed to tell.

I’ve got a few 4K discs myself where I’ve also got the iTunes version and if using my Apple TV box it’s hard to tell the difference. I’ve noticed that the tv apps aren’t quite as good though.

Just spent 10 mins trying to find Begins by Chris Nolan, how have I managed to miss that??? until I realised it was Batman Begins

Got 26 hrs of viewing pleasure watching Tenet. Had to watch it 10 times to partially understand the plot.

I picked this up when it was last reduced, but had to get a refund as The Dark Knight stream was bugged. Didn't play in the correct aspect ratio and framerate was choppy. The rest of the collection was fine, but TDK was the one I was most looking forward to! Hopefully just a me problem though (Apple app on a Sony TV).
