Meh. Been cheaper multiple times in recent months - sub-£240. Same price at Laptops Direct with standard delivery. Cheaper at Amazon Germany if you don't mind waiting a few days - £258.22 including standard delivery (without prime), cheaper with fee-free card. Could be some other places I've missed. (edited)

I can't understand why the prices remain so high, I have a 5600x and would get one of these to extend my PC's life (if it was economical), but I'll probably just get a new AM5 build now

It's pretty much due to the same reason CPUs like the 2600K, 6700K & 7700K remained so expensive (£200+ !!) on the used market even in late 2019.

They will be price matching elsewhere that you will get cashback on

tempted to get this to replace 3700x or just straight up build a new PC with 7800X3D

I've been in the same boat but have the 3600 paired with a rx6800, was thinking about getting the 5800x but going to hang fire for abit as what I have is still capable at most games 1440. Probably wait abit longer and before jumping to am5.

Looking forward to when this is around the £235 mark again. I have a Ryzen 3600 with an Nvidia 3070. I don't want to go up to am5 just yet as I only recently put a new mobo in (MSI x570s). I reckon I'd be happy for a few more years with just upgrading the CPU.

This is... generally the normal price. About £265 is pretty average.

Deal-worthy is in the <£240 range.

    Voted cold. (edited)
