Evo - enhanced
LG’s Evo panel maximised OLED’s already impressive picture performance. Brighter and clearer than ever, Evo is a big step up. Now, even Evo has just got better. With this LG 55 inch TV, you get new heat dissipation technology, which makes the picture even brighter than the original Evo screen. For lifelike, brilliant images, the LG OLED55G26LA is simply the best of the best.

Made for the wall – Gallery design
No deeper than a typical heating controller, this slimline, ‘Gallery’ design TV takes pride of place in your room, without dominating it. The latest G-series OLED TVs have a slimmer bezel for even sleeker style. The supplied wall bracket mounts the TV flush to the wall, giving this TV a stunning appearance. (Please note, stand not included but LG ST-G26ST55 stand is available as an additional cost option).

Alpha 9 Gen 5 processing for improved sound and vision
Now in its fifth generation, LG’s mighty Alpha 9 processor optimises sound and vision for spectacular results. Using AI technology, the picture and sound are optimised to best suit the genre – be it movies, sport, gaming or regular TV. With enhancements to picture tone-mapping, background enhancement and upscaling, picture processing is more advanced than ever. Virtual sound channel up-mixing increases from 5.1.2 to 7.1.2, giving an even more enveloping sound on the LG OLED55G26LA.

AI Picture /Sound Pro for professional sound and vision
Using a huge database of over one million visual date points, AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Made for gaming – with Game Optimiser and more
The improved Game Optimiser utilises an enhanced gaming menu, giving you quick access to important settings. There are now five game genre presets, including a new one for sports games. Equipped with 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 sockets, this LG TV is designed to get the very best from today’s, and future, games consoles. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) mean that your TV automatically adjusts to the optimised settings for gaming – giving you a smoother and faster response.

4.2 multi-speaker system, AI Sound Pro and Dolby Atmos compatible sound
Featuring an enhanced, 4.2 speaker system, the OLED55G26LA offers more impressive sound than lower models. Power is also up 50% to 60 watts – giving a richer, room-filling sound. Using AI algorithms, AI Sound Pro up-mixes two-channel audio to virtual 7.1.2 sound – producing a much more immersive sound and enhanced dialogue. With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in, this LG 55” TV decodes Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for even more enveloping audio.

Welcome home, with LG webOS 22 – the best in smart TV
Widely regarded as one of the best smart TV platforms, LG’s webOS system continues to set the standard. The latest webOS 22 offers improved personalisation and recommendations. You can create up to six personalised profiles, with individual viewing suggestions, sport alerts and app lists.

NFC Magic Tap for content mirroring around your home
You can access your webOS TV profile via your smartphone with the NFC Magic Tap app. Even better, NFC Magic Tap lets you mirror content from your mobile to the TV – and not just a single TV. You can mirror content from one TV in your home, to another, using the Room To Room Share function. This lets you view cable or satellite content on multiple screens, without the need for additional set-top boxes.

The hub of your home entertainment – with voice control
Featuring LG’s ThinQ AI technology, you can control a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition. With both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, it makes it even easier to control your LG OLED TV and quickly access the entertainment you’re looking for.

Just ordered. But does it have 5 year warranty (both parts and labor)?

    On G2 product page:
    lg.com/uk/…la/
In the 1st year of the warranty, panel, parts, and labor costs are covered. In the 2nd - 5th year of the warranty, only panels are covered, and labor will be charged.

    In the extended warranty page:
    lg.com/uk/…ty/
Participating LG products: All OLED and QNED TVs

I wrote a comment earlier but it was deleted..

C2 has stand and full 5 year d&g warranty.
G2 only has 1 year warranty and additional 4 years for panel part (but not labour).

    I need to decide!

I have a 6 year old 65" B7 purchased for £1900 with screen burn in after 3 years. The 65" here works out at £1097 and I understand this 5 year warranty covers screen burnin on the G series ?

Still annoyed that LG wouldn't even repair my burnt in panel after three years, with their £200 customer repair scheme despite initially saying they would
    hk2054's avatar
It does appear the 5 year panel warranty of G and Z series would cover burn in under normal use.

Try to watch Vincent's video in the thread below:

LG now has 5 year warranty (Burn in is covered!)

Apparently LG has put in a very bad quality power board in it. Check the reviews in LG site itself. Everyone has same complaint of powerboard went out of order. Something to be cautious is LG only provides one year labour warranty. The 5-year warranty that they mentioned in the site is only for the panel.

This or the other C2 deal?

    G2
    - comes with heat sink
    - is brighter
    - with wall mount
    - without stand

@craiger082 Thank you very much for your spare code!

52297801-nPeYG.jpgI've managed to get this price somehow, very tempted now, as was gonna get the c2. I'm upgrading from a Sony xh900.
How much better is this TV Vs the c2?
    hk2054's avatar
I cancelled my C2 order and ordered G2.
G2 has a heat sink, which should allow it to go brighter and reduce the risk of burn in. That's well worth the extra 34 quid.

G2's only downside is the lack of a stand, which can be purchased from Amazon for about 21 quid.

Don't forget to claim your 3 month free Apple TV+ before the end of April - just open the app on the TV. Also no need to register the TV - it should happen automatically and you will receive a confirmation email the day after delivery. (edited)

How comes the C2 hit over 2k heat and this is at 200?
    sashforth's avatar
It is a bit strange as I consider this to be the better deal. It could be because this one requires access to a student code, or similar, whereas the C2 deal just required you to create a referral code.

It could also be because the G2 is primarily designed to be wall mounted.
  16. Stuart_Mccallum's avatar
Could anybody help a brother out with a student bean code. I would be eternally grateful 🙏🏻

I spent £822.4 on last week
but it hasn’t been shipped yet. It will be delivered next week. Can I return it or apply for a refund of the price difference?

Anyone kindly DM me a student beans code pls? (edited)

Great price, was tempted to cancel my C2 order and get this instead as it would have only been around £30 more. Looks to be out of stock now though unfortunately

Dam student beans can that be shared? Is it worth it?

Will the G2 sit flush on the wall and HDMI cables drop from a gap below?
Contemplating between the G2 or the C
    tickedon's avatar
Yes there’s a channel cut out of the back to route cables. So you could have the cables going into the wall or routing down below the tv while the to remains flush against wall using the LG wall mount included in the box.

Interesting how in the current economic climate how quickly luxury goods sell out ? (edited)
  24. gdl's avatar
Managed to bag one of these today with thanks to my son (for the Student Beans code). Looking forward to it and will grab a pedestal stand off Amazon in the meantime (as it's unlikely to be wall mounted). Thanks to the OP for spotting this great deal on what should be a great TV. (edited)
    Stuart_Mccallum's avatar
Sorry to ask but you wouldn’t be able to get me a code would you 🫣
  25. reggea86's avatar
Who prefers the stand(rented property),it has no standing the box and it is very hard to get,it’s also £149 if you can find one which is extremely expensive just for a stand.Better than C2 and C3.Gor me a no just because of the stand issue.
    craiger082's avatar
Just get a vesa stand for it mate, cheap on Amazon!
  26. makzak's avatar
Where could I get a code, please?

Ordered last night 🔥 was all good re confirmation emails until I got one email an hour later saying it's "on hold"?? But no mention of that on order details in my account page so see what happens I guess 🙏🙏🙏
    sashforth's avatar
I got exactly the same email last night. I have read similar comments on other recent LG deals but then delivery went through as planned. It appears to still be available to order so here's hoping that all will be well with both our orders. (edited)

  33. sashforth's avatar
Back in stock again but student style codes no longer working (for me at least) so £833 through the LG referral scheme is the best I could achieve. (edited)
  34. Toomsey's avatar
Anyone know of a way to get delivery to Northern Ireland or even Ireland? Seems like LG only delivers to the mainland.
