Crazy price. In terms of gaming the 7800X3D might edge it ever so slightly but this is a beast of CPU in terms of productivity.

I would avoid this if primarily gaming. As this has 2 x CCD (8 cores per CCD on this particular CPU) and one CCD has 3D cache the other doesn't. So it is more difficult for the OS to manage, or you can make prioritisation changes in the BIOS. There could well be a gaming profile you could set to force games to only use the CCD cores with 3D cache.

The second CCD has higher clock speeds though. Great for productivity and also excellent for gaming.
