    Considering all they are going to do is up the price by 10% every April worth just buying a phone outright?

    Ssisters contract gone up £100. And suddenly not such a good deal. Not that it was a good idea to start with

    Three does this now u get a phone separate to the contract u take contact out for the phone and sim separate u pay for the phone monthly interest free but sim goes up each april I just cancel the sim after tho days and pay for the phone monthly only (edited)

    Unfortunately not, no. I'd have hoped the Oneplus 12 would make it's way to some of these merchants, but not yet, only contract oneplus is the 11, but currently overpriced unfortunately

    You can tell this gen of iPhones isn't selling too well, these prices have come way down.

    I think for the average person the 13 Pro/13Pro Max serves up everything the 15 Pro/15Pro Max does. People are skipping.

    Edit, just looked it up, indeed since 13 pro the sales are falling. I think the price on this will continue to drop tbh, faster than usual

    There used to be a Carphone Warehouse in the town I lived in but it closed down, I think around Covid time. I miss it.

    There's a 02, Three, EE and Vodafone store all within about 150 yards of each other but if you don't want an iPhone or a Samsung, or if you want to buy accessories, you're pretty much out of luck.

    Went into my local EE the other day as I was tempted to treat myself to a new phone, I literally couldn't get the sales assistant to talk to me about a phone, instead he just wanted to sell me broadband and/or a PS5.

    Bless you MrSwitch for reminding us that there are choices out there. Seriously tempted by the OnePlus 12 or a HONOR Magic6 Pro. Just need to find the right deals. (edited)

    Other than ID mobile where the first rise doesn't apply until April 25, I would say this is a terrible time to take out a contract.

    Better to wait for a few weeks until the April 2024 inflation rise drops out.

    I'm in the same place. We still own X2 pros and I was really hoping for x7ultra but they didn't release it in the UK. I think I'll just change batteries and they'll run for another few years.

    MrSwitch, can I just check the deals from CPW with you. They show as 24 months contract which for the S23 Ultra is £843.26. This is cheaper than buying the phone outright from almost everywhere. Do you own the phone outright after 24 months? I'm with Vodafone at the moment and their price for the S23 Ultra is £53 per month with £50 up front on a 36 month contract for 3GB data. (edited)

    Wanted to get the iPhone 15pro but can't justify the price for it, it's just not good enough or has a wow factor to upgrade from a previous generation iPhone after 3 years...got a SIM only,including TNT sports,Xbox game pass, ultd mins,calls,data from EE for £18/month(hassled and payed off:)

    Does anyone know if we were to take out a new contract now, whether or not we would still be subject to the upcoming April RPI price rises?

    If so, that would likely make the following few weeks the worst time to take out a new contract, as effectively you would be locked into a rise almost immediately, and then another rise next April on top of this one...

    Most of the network providers make it quite clear when looking at a new contract. If taking a deal now I’ve not noticed any that will change the prices until 2025.
