Good Price but the Hard Credit check even if paying device in full.

Thanks for the heads-up. That's awful.

I did something similar last month on an O2 refresh deal - I ported my number using the STAC code. I received my bill from 02 today - £1.35
Using the STAC code is much easier than ringing O2 to cancel! (edited)

I've used PACs many times before but Not STAC, what is that ?

Thanks for posting. It's rare to get a good price on a phone with decent internal storage. I wish manufacturers would give more than 128GB, or provide an SD card slot. It seems like they give us 4k video recording and expect us to put it straight into cloud.

Sony still provide SD support. And have full manual camera controls on premium models for people who have the skills to take photos without AI help. (edited)

Great deal, heat added. Suggest you don't try ringing 02 to cancel sim as 02 staff will give you a hard time. Best thing to do is get a free payg sim eg from asda & do a PAC transfer. O2 may charge you for 1st month, but after a month or so they will refund around 75% of 1st months bill

Agree with this. They didn't give me a hard time, they said they cancelled it but didn't and then sent me threatening debt collection messages about it for months. It was eventually sorted but a horrible experience

Is it worth getting this or stumping up a bit more for the 8/pro

Good price and 256. I just didn't like the battery life & the agressive screen dimming on the 7. My P8P is better in those areas but still inconsistent.

For the price is hard to justify spending more if it fits your needs (edited)

Just be aware that if you travel a lot 5G and Wifi calling services won't work in a lot of countries with these services as Google has to whitelist mobile networks individually.

They've only done this in around 35 countries globally.

PAC code is used to transfer an existing mobile number from one provider to another, stopping the service with the current provider.
A STAC code is used to stop the service with the current provider, the existing mobile number is not transferred to the new provider.

ffs the phone arrived today. packing list says it's a pixel 7 256gb black like new, the actual phone that has been shipped is a pixel 7 pro 128gb black like new. the imei on the phone matches on the packing list, so the warehouse has got it wrong. spent 20 mins on the phone with customer service to order a returns bag. no doubt there will be no stock left to send me the right phone
