In case this is of help to anyone here is a direct link to the £5.25 offer from Smarty smarty.co.uk/pla…MSE - a guy on Smarty chat gave this to me after he switched me from the £8 deal to this deal. I had asked him if there was a way of getting a second sim for the same price......I have just managed to order a second sim via this link but had to use a different email address (and changed browsers too just in case there were issues).
Unfortunately, this deal has expired 2 minutes ago.

Pay for your bill with cash!
Smarty supports PayPoint cash top ups meaning you can settle your bill for a month, a couple of months, maybe even the full year!
This is especially helpful for those struggling with financial situations - being able to make sure your phone bill is covered for a set period of time means that's one thing taken off the "worry list" for a while.
How to top up:
New Smarty customers: You can purchase a SMARTY SIM directly from a participating PayPoint retailer. Simply give the SIM to the cashier, tell them how much you would like to top up and you're ready to start your SMARTY journey. You'll then need to activate following these steps.
Existing Smarty customers: If you would like to top up via a PayPoint retailer, all you have to do is log in to your dashboard and tap 'top up in store' or 'Paypoint' in Payment Settings.
This will generate a barcode that you can take to a PayPoint retailer. The barcode will be available on your dashboard. Then, simply tell the cashier how much you’d like to top up.
Once you've topped up, your account balance will be updated. It will take up to 20 minutes to reflect on your dashboard or display on the SMARTY App.

sorted by- Damn recent got the £8/50GB deal and this would be way better!
Edit: Messaged smarty and they've applied it from next month (edited)you're not tied in - Do Smarty raise prices every April or something similar? No from there website "Prices that stay low
We don’t do annual price rises with our rolling one month plans, so you always know what you’re paying and you’re in complete control" - Unfortunately 3 signal non existent here or I'd jump on thisI am on Smarty and they now use EE for my area, check if that is the same for you.
- Dumped them as couldnt get it to work abroad.
- MSE shows the offer expires 25 March,
does anyone know how long we have before needing to activate the Smarty Sim?
(Still got the Lebara offer until July)The terms & conditions state:e. activate your SIM online on SMARTY’s website, within 2 weeks of purchase
Hopefully this helps! - Just looked on Quidco. There may be £7.50 cashback on this deal tooI didn't even think about Quidco! I've been a Smarty customer in the past so I'm hoping I wouldn't be eligible for the cashback anyway, meaning I haven't missed out on anything
- Cheers op, just signed up to this, o2 are doing my nut in atm haha heat added 🔥02 since the VM merger had been awful poor network coverage unknown calls calls dops
- Just contacted support and they changed my plan to this one !!
- Check your dashboard after switching if you're an existing customer as Smarty are putting some on 40GB for £10 - you should see the special offer £5.25 as pending on your dashboard otherwise they have not applied the deal correctlyWhen I last changed plan, it showed the full price for a few days then the discount appeared shortly after that. I was told not all staff are able to apply to discounts, so they have to get someone else to do it for them.
- TCB now trackingBut there are no 40gb plan showing on tcb. So what did you select?
- Maybe a silly question but how do I ensure it rolls on every month? Reason I ask is they didn't take any direct debit details. Only card so would they be able to take recurring payments or would I have to update within my account. ThanksIts not Direct debit...they will charge card....i.e automatic top up.
- Anyone having trouble getting through on the chat? Says within 30 mins and I’m currently on 58 🤦🏻Probably overwhelmed with requests to change to this offer - however it isn't a "live chat" as such so you can safely close the chat after entering your message and you'll get an email with the reply once they've responded
- Was going to switch to this but EE offered me £5 PM for 40GB unlimited text and calls on both my sims and my partners as well - might not have got this deal specifically but helped me get another so appreciate it!Didn't get an exact offer like yours, but I've got EU roaming added, and the price reduced to £6 a month for the same plan I had. So, it's not bad.
- Says £10 for me, am I doing something wrong? You've got to go through mse money saving expert site.
- cheers op
Anyone know how long this offer is around for.T&Cs say 25th March but you can message them to apply it now. - price goes back up after 15 months fyithey said that about my £8 deal and auto renewed it for another 15 months
- I have swapped to this deal with no problem with their chat support. Cheers Op for posting this. How tedious a process was it to swap?
- Would it be possible to use this just as a DATA sim in a MiFi device?Yes, there's no restrictions on tethering or anything like that. I have the unlimited plan and use it in a 5G router as my home internet connection.
- Can someone give clear instructions how the existing customers can apply this offer please?Go on the chat either through the app > helo > and click chat or their website
- Use your SMARTY plan anywhere in the EU
- If your plan includes calls and texts, they work just like home. They’re unlimited with no extra fees
What does that mean: can you call European numbers while in EU for free or call UK numbers while in EU?The latter, roaming will be included, not international calls, so use your phone as you would if you were at home i.e. make calls to UK numbers not ‘international’ numbers (edited) - Can you put limiter on data so you don't go over? tiaYou can't go over, it's not like a typical contract, it'll just stop working unless you purposefully buy more.
- Do they use 3 or EEThey're owned by Three and use the Three network
- Anyone know if they do an e-sim?Unfortunately they don't.
- Anyone know what the cost changes too after the 15 months? Not saying it'll happen again, but I've been with Smarty for over 3 years on 2 devices and they've always extended the deal for another 12 months automatically. No idea whether they'll do it with this offer.
- My Smarty SIM has been dispatched
It would make sense to activate and enter the pac code on Monday, even if it arrives tomorrow or Saturday right? As far as I know, number transfers don't happen over weekends?Correct - Can activate this after 2 weeks ?“This deal expires 25th March 2024 at 23:59, and you need to activate the sim within 14 days as per terms and conditions.”
- I ordered one of these and it's been delivered and initial payment taken. Am I right to assume I will only be charged again once I activate the sim? I intend to use it in 2 months? You've paid for your first month already. To be eligible for this offer, as per terms and conditions you must activate the sim within 14 days
What you could do is activate your sim and immediately pause your plan, 2 months should be fine but if you leave your plan paused for too long (details on the website I provided a link to) your account will be closed - Webchat changed both of my SIM's from £8 a month to match this offer. Very easy, great service.
- I can confirm - use the chat service in their app to contact them. Ask them to move you to this offer (I tend to include a link to the webpage with the offer on) and they apply it straight away, live for the next billing cycle. I’ve been with Smarty for a while and find their customer support very good. That’s great. Does it then last for the full 15 months? Currently on month 5 of the £5 for 5GB deal so in theory 10 months left of that deal.
- Is this for new customers only? I'm already paying the same amount for 4gbOther people have successfully switched to similar offers after contacting Smarty support via web chat going by comments on other Smarty deal posts - I think they would switch you to it if you ask. Good luck! (edited)
- Oh dear. I took this as I thought a move from Three should be fine. I have no idea why but smarty has terrible internet speeds consistently below 1mb per second download . I won't be staying with Smarty long unless something improves.Speeds are fine for me on smarty tempted to get a 5g router and do away with fix line internet if those speeds were consistent
- Only just joined Smarty and just tried to get this deal but was told I needed to be with them for 3 months.
Edit: After uploading the T&C on chat CS added this deal for me from the next billing date. (edited)I also got this response, just on the live chat now and he's gone to talk to a "manager" - The worst Internet speeds ever and very slow response time from customer service
terrible speeds… - I'm currently on this £10 deal. Wondering if I reach out to them they'll change it!?They will - as above
- Can't get this to work, I've gone through the correct MSE link and it shows the offer initially then when I click through it defaults to 60gb for £10 with a blurb about getting an extra 20gb free for 15 months. I'm already a Smarty customer but was using different email and dob and different browser etcContact customer support like the people above have to get this offer
- Assuming new customers only?new and existing
- Just done mine started it at 1642 and finished at 1842 lucky I wasn't in a hurryI’ve just switched and it took me about an hour
- Ahh what do I do? I'm on VOXI For Now Unlimited £10/m but I use about 16GB a month (this month I've used 25.71GB but my bill is due in 14 days, and I've done a lot of speed tests & tethering this month which has increased my data usage significantly - I don't usually do these but my WiFi was down hence the tethering)
I ordered the recent £8 for 50GB Smarty plan but cancelled it because I thought for £2 more, I have Unlimited Data - this is almost a £5 difference though and I wouldn't be likely to run out of data!!
Ahhh... this or keep my Unlimited Data for a tenner? Worth noting I've had the Voxi For Now deal close to 4 years even though it was supposed to last 6 months so may be permanent if I don't leave Voxi
Heat added OP what a mega deal!! (edited)If you don't need unlimited no point in paying for it. It's unlikely your usage is going to spike that much you'd need unlimited again, if you realise you need anything up to about 90GB there are plans with various networks under £10 so you'd still be better off! - Very good deal, I have activated it speaking bi live chat with customer service
